  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia I think your issue is that you are furthest from the cabinet. Therefore everyone else is getting the capacity first. That said for that big a drop in speed late at night it means that they either reduced the capacity on the line or something further up is using a lot. It could

  • Lesleynotledley Dear Mr Levy... (@Lesleynotledley) reported from Hove, England

Virgin media, had a problem with my account and wanted to discuss as they'd mis informed me and i was incurring costs as a result, i eventually got thru they told me my security details and email were wrong even tho they'd emailed me a reminder on it #cantcomplain

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Be that there are businesses on the same exchange backing up their data. I have a similar issue. Sky guarantee 70mb but I only get 65mb. I’m therefore able to cancel my contract and go to another provider. However. This would depend on who the provider is. Most providers buy

  • MarkkClifford Mark Clifford (@MarkkClifford) reported from Shoreham-by-Sea, England

@BenJamesPhotos @virginmedia I’ve had shocking service from them last of couple weeks. Got an engineer coming out tomorrow to hopefully fix my internet. Not had a problem with the customer service.... YET.

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Is your issue that the speed is up and down and it sometimes doesn’t work or that it doesn’t work in parts of your house?

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Agree. Might just be a faulty router. Unless you live in a castle there shouldn’t be a problem in the room next to the router. I’m in the garden and my router is 20m away in the front room.

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia 64mb is ok but if you were getting 150mb then I expect you’d notice it. Good news is. It’s not your issue. It means that theres either a fault on the line, or there’s too many people using it at the same time. It’s called “contention”. Have you called your supplier?

  • Portly_Burnsie Burnsie (@Portly_Burnsie) reported from Shoreham-by-Sea, England

    @virginmedia @ClockworkLondon **** service is my guess.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ronniemould jon (@ronniemould) reported

@virginmedia Yes it was a known issue but you didn’t admit it, the recorded massage was changed twice a day to say it would be fixed by 3pm then 9am the next day when people that had spent 2 hours on the phone to speak to an actual person had been told it would be down all week

  • dotsta06 Scott Evans (@dotsta06) reported

@virginmedia It says it all the time that there is no issues in the area which i find hard to believe as the internet is terrible at times. I have wifi boosters to which cut out also ideally need an engineer to sort these issues out.

  • BenFish47097737 Ben Fisher (@BenFish47097737) reported

@virginmedia The issue wasn’t with my connection, it was with your service for the pay per view fight, which meant I missed every fight other than the main event. How do I apply for a refund?

  • 21AdamWilkinson Adam Wilkinson (@21AdamWilkinson) reported

@virginmedia It's back on now but it's constantly going off lately I have family who also have the same issues it's beyond a jok and when you ring up all you get told is everything's okay there end

  • Developer_Geek DevGeek (@Developer_Geek) reported

@virginmedia I was not a subscriber to the event last night but often have similar issues with other channels/tv shows/recordings. Is it worth calling customer service to try and get this issue resolved?

  • CunliffeTina Tina Cunliffe (@CunliffeTina) reported

@virginmedia It take me to service check. Which always comes up as no problems

  • leegarryallen LAllen (@leegarryallen) reported

@virginmedia Hope you apologise to your significant other better than that. My point is the first half of your tweet is making claims that the problem wasn't as bad as it was. The issue persisted most of the night. Adding "we apologise" on end isn't an apology really is it.
