@virginmedia This is still appalling customer service. I have to register (I did this when things were down in Dec for almost 72 hours), I have to alert etc you are the service provider. How is it good CS that we assume you are lying in estimates? No compensation for Dec either.

  • GazzaAdams

Hi @virginmedia This latest update appears to directly contradict the update you sent me earlier today. At 12:57, I was told that an engineer **was already on site and working to fix the problem**, with an estimated repair time of **18:00 today, 19/08/2026**. At 15:24, I am now being told that you have identified the problem and that an engineer **is on their way**, with the estimated repair time moved to **14:10 on 21/08/2026**. This is the original date that was stated 2 weeks ago. Could you please provide an accurate explanation of what is actually happening with fault **F012421201**? In particular: * Was an engineer on site earlier today, as stated? * If so, why is an engineer now apparently only “on their way”? * What has happened to cause the estimated repair time to move from this evening to Friday afternoon? * Is 21/08/2026 at 14:10 now a reliable estimate, or is this simply an automated placeholder? I appreciate that faults can take longer than expected to repair. What is frustrating is receiving contradictory information that makes it impossible to understand the actual status of the fault. Please provide a clear and factual update rather than another automated status message.
