Given how badly BT’s share price has fared over the last few years, this might not be too unrealistic. There doesn’t seem to be much money in fixed telecoms at the moment. We@could have a Network Rail of broadband. Except there is also the Virgin Media fibre network.

@AyoCaesar Problem is that Sky have no control over it, because its actually owned by Openreach. They own the lines for all providers, apart from obviously Virgin Media.

I will now make a point of tweeting every time my @virginmedia broadband service is down so we can keep a live record of how often this happens. It will be a wild ride! (Down for the last 20 minutes, website also down for maintenance apparently).

So @virginmedia have refused to get an engineer to me today to fix their problem outside my house, which has cut out my internet and TV services. I have not got many followers but if anyone can retweet this example of disgraceful service I would be grateful.

@virginmedia The website says phone customer service is open but I when I call it says it's closed? I'm trying to do a transfer of responsibility and the staff I spoke to earlier in the week said both people must be present. Weekend is only time that's possible and line is closed
