-
Mathew (@Mattyamc) reported@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Every broadband company has a minimum speed they must deliver, if there failing then you are well within your rights to cancel. Call citizens advice, they have professional lawyers that will speak to them for you and trust me they will kick them in the nuts while there at it.
-
Mr Nash (@Nasher6328) reported@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Under UK law (primarily the Consumer Rights Act 2015), broadband services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be of satisfactory quality. A complete outage lasting 7 weeks is almost certainly a breach, giving you the right to end the contract and seek a remedy (like cancellation without penalty or a refund for the affected period). Virgin Media participates in Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme for total loss of service (no internet at all via wired connection). You should already be getting ~£10.34 per day automatically after the first 2 full working days of reporting the fault. This doesn't directly let you cancel penalty-free, but it supports your case.
-
Melina Kakoulidis (@MelinaKakoulid7) reported@virginmedia Can customer services agents @virginmedia be more human and less computers please?
