Appalling from @virginmedia today! The whole network in shambles today, no one working from has been able to do anything! Just spent 40 minutes listening to Footlose in their phone queue and as I got to the front, they put the phone on me! Absolute shambles!

  • guydorrell1
Guy Dorrell (@guydorrell1) reported from Wandsworth, England

So @virginmedia wifi down in SW18 2 for the third time this week. Don’t ask me to check your status dashboard, this happens EVERY week. It’s a constant, systemic issue, please get an engineer to come out & look at local box. Paying £130/month for terrible service, fuming 🤮😡

  • U2Gorilla
Snatch (@U2Gorilla) reported from Southall, England

Requested to cancel my contract and told my account doesn’t exist anyway. Thank you Virgin Media.

  • Champs707007
Stephen Champion (@Champs707007) reported from Wandsworth, England

@virginmedia It’s been erratic all day on both connections and your service check says no issues identified. One minute it’s doing 40-60mbps then it’s just plain dead but shows a connection

  • ranaraptor
Rana Rahman (@ranaraptor) reported from Wandsworth, England

@virginmedia Do you have a date/time? What is the tech issue? I’m trying to run a business remotely, and Virgin is severely letting me down unfortunately. #virginoutage #virginmediadown

  • BarbaraMolony

@AnishModgil @virginmedia In my experience No. and when I asked for money back last time they told me there had to be a complete service loss for a certain number of days!!!! Maybe time to contact the #Ombudsman

  • Johnboy82903002
John carroll (@Johnboy82903002) reported from Brentford, England

@virginmedia I have done, but there is nowhere to report a total outage, despite the message, and no estimated time. I have no landline or broadband, and haven't for 2 days

  • Shaun1799
Shaun (@Shaun1799) reported from Kingston upon Thames, England

@virginmedia having problems with my wifi would you help me out

  • GeoffRogersEU
Geoff Rogers (@GeoffRogersEU) reported from Hersham, England

@virginmedia @FeelitWorking I think the OP is airing his frustration at the fact that he has to ask for discount at the end of the contract. VM does not do this with its business customers (I know as a former very satisfied business customer) so why should it apply to consumers? To be fair, Sky, BT, Talk…

  • Mustxkim
Mustakim. (@Mustxkim) reported from Brentford, England

@virginmedia Wi-Fi is SO BAD. I’ve check service status online it says it’s fine but I hasn’t been working for 2 hours now. Wtf is you lot doing. It’s been disturbing for weeks now too.

  • thefitebegins
jrd1982 (@thefitebegins) reported from Hillingdon, England

@virginmedia Yet again Virgin Media is down and yes I have tried the checker. Why are services with VM constantly going down across the UK?

  • P4TTL
Patrick Smith (@P4TTL) reported from Chertsey, England

@virginmedia Yep, no issues in the area. Everything was working up until about an hour ago, and now the Internet has gone very sporadic and constantly disconnecting, as shown by the ping test.

  • safctinders
Tinders (@safctinders) reported from Worcester Park, England

@virginmedia Abysmal service. Pay a premium for this stuff and nothing but aggro; TV freezes, ages to boot up… been sat here 20 minutes and still “starting up”. **** show.

  • Johnlumb67
John lumb (@Johnlumb67) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia Thanks do you have a number that will A: Answer the call B: Answer within 1 week. C: Actually understand my problem. I have had bad experiences on the phone with VM

  • DavidBa97629651
    David Bartholo (@DavidBa97629651) reported

@virginmedia There’s no point in me DM because you won’t change it just for me however I hope you take notice of the number of customers raising this as an issue, I would ask you to consider elderly folks like myself with joint and mobility issues who don’t wish to keep pressing the remote

  • 1kevin010

@virginmedia My broadband is down, bn15 area, service status problem in my area, can you confirm please

  • TheFinalTilt

  • IainSankey
    Iain Sankey (@IainSankey) reported

@NommeDeTwit @virginmedia They seem to favour new customers, so I expect I'll have to change again in 2 years or threaten to. It's really stupid that companies no longer reward loyalty.

  • IainSankey
    Iain Sankey (@IainSankey) reported

@TWO_Librans @virginmedia Yes, I am aware of the cancellation period, but it's a cheek, really. The problem with my landline was that I got constant nuisance calls on it all day long. I'd kept it for a few elderly relatives' sake, but they've all departed now, so I've disconnected it.

  • AdamED98
    Adam 🇮🇪🇪🇺 (@AdamED98) reported

Someone slap me across the face & ask me why I chose Virgin Media when setting up my broadband? Modem randomly offline for two days now, no explanation & someone won’t be out until Tuesday to fix it? That’s 5 days of no WiFi & TV. That’s 5 days they’re not getting on my next bill

  • Ruislip33
    Johnny A (@Ruislip33) reported

@christofflennon If you download sky sports app and then select watch, then login with Virgin Media option at bottom of the page it works that way

  • kathleenp442
    Kathleen Peters (@kathleenp442) reported

No sky sports+ working so missing the first match of the season. I see someone reported this 6 days ago. Will there be a reduction in charges on the next bill for the loss of this service....I doubt it. I await your response. @virginmedia

  • harrewis
    Paul THORNE (@harrewis) reported

@virginmedia Unacceptable…should be offering compensation to customers for failing to provide the service being paid for.

  • visitandtravel
    Richard (@visitandtravel) reported

@IainSankey @virginmedia These large companies Sky etc are so used to making huge amounts from the TV/broadband services - they are living on the assumption that most people will not switch. It is greed on their part, or they just do not give a damn.
