Lights look normal and we need to power cycle to get service back. What's going on? Postcode B90 3BD Do you have a back up option available as this affects card payments.
-
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England@O2 @virginmedia Further to this, he has now told me that as I get a £15/month discount for my 1st 6 months with O2, I need to cancel that and pay full price in order to get the extra #Volt speed boost with VM

Lee Greenhouse (@Baggielee80) reported from Halesowen, England@virginmedia very poor service with the broadband cutting out every so often having to keep rebooting the box frankly not good enough for over £60 a month. Can you sort it out please. B62 area
-
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England@virginmedia Network security warnings, poor speed (even on direct cabled link to router), and we need a wifi booster which with the broadband, phone and tv package I believe is included. Still on hold after two hours! Wasted yesterday waiting for a response on so-called ‘live chat’!
-
💙 Helen Abdullah 💙 (@HelenAbdullah08) reported from Redditch, England@virginmedia Didn’t get a response then told another dept would contact. All we want is the service we are paying for. We need a new v6 box the replacement sent doesn’t work properly(set top box) we cannot use catch up and the picture is intermittently pixilated.
-
Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England@virginmedia It's not faulty. It's not a wifi or broadband issue. You don't have enough backhaul capacity.
-
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Solihull, EnglandNot only did I have to go out to watch the football because Sky Sports doesn’t work BBC has gone down so can’t even watch MOTD thanks @virginmedia
-
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England@virginmedia After a couple more wasted hours and speaking to two more useless, rude and incompetent call centre operatives your customer retention team actually listened. Might help if ALL your call centres were UK based and had some compassion.
-
Andrew Tatton 🔰 #GlazersOut 🔰 (@adtatton) reported from Wythall, England@virginmedia poor doesn’t come anywhere near the description needed for the service you provide for a long term customer who simply needs the OLD Superhub 2ac router replacing. I simply need a replacement sent quickly but must wait for an engineer on Tuesday 4th January.
-
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England@virginmedia After more than FOUR HOURS on the phone I eventually got someone competent from billing to confirm I am eligible for one free booster and someone else to talk me through fixing the security issue. You seriously need to prioritise vulnerable customers!
-
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Solihull, England@virginmedia 45 mins on hold then cut off over 100 quid a month TV not working yet again!
-
Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England@virginmedia Postcode was entered and I was logged in. Running a test reported no problem.
-
Neil Churchard (@Neil_Churchard) reported from Solihull, EnglandWow just had the worst customer service from @virginmedia can’t say I’ll be staying a loyal customer at this rate 😤
-
-
Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England@virginmedia No estimated time. "It's a complex problem". In other words its a network fault not a line fault. Why isn't the number you shared available on your website? The service checker is useless in this scenario. The website says it's working when it isn't.
-
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Solihull, England@virginmedia Internet down again (had engineer here Monday). Cut off after a 62 minute wait! Tried the app won't let me log in as my password is wrong and it hasn't sent me any new password link (2 hours ago).
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Free I.T. Stafford (@freeITstafford) reported@JamieGBarry @virginmedia I tried that trick at cancellation time, and they told me my address will be stored and I'll always be classed as "existing" so would never be eligible for a "new customer" deal. The only way to be a "new customer" is to move house.
-
Ed61 (@Ed6114) reported@virginmedia I don’t seem to be able to set the box to record stuff like I could on the V6, or with programmes containing certain words in the titles. It’s an awful system. It will be bye bye and hello sky when the contract runs out.
-
Lawley (@mrsteachme) reported@virginmedia @PeteUK7 @virginmedia 'customer' service is an utter joke. I don't miss that now I'm not with them.
-
Old Motherduck (@Old_Motherduck) reported@virginmedia @JamieGBarry maybe you should make that clear from the beginning and treat loyal customers as first time customers
-
MerlinJ (@HamsterSick) reportedI absolutely detest @virginmedia I crave the end of the contract this year. Dog **** service.
-
Gerwyn Holmes (@GerwynHolmes) reported@JamieGBarry @virginmedia It’s all about the money they make on people who can’t be bothered to switch. Dreadful way to treat loyal customers.
-
Biohazardboy (@Biohazardboy2) reported@virginmedia @PeteUK7 Used to punt cable and phones in Virgin media years ago. The bereavement process has always been dogshit. The amount of customers coming into store with this same complaint was insane. This was 2014-2019. Never changed.
-
Suz (@scoobiesue82) reported@JSSHERIFF1933 @virginmedia I have done this and got exactly the same outcome. I’ve unplugged the box and it’s still an issue
-
Adam (@Adam83492464721) reported@Nasher6328 @JamieGBarry @virginmedia Nah **** that. If I need to go through the song and dance anyway I may as well switch and get whatever freebies they throw to new customers. It’s just a stupid system that doesn’t reward loyalty and means we all have to waste our time every 2 years.
-
Mikey Molfessis (@mikey_mol) reported@virginmedia Well, if you close a ticket and open a new one before 48 hours has been reached, even though the problem is not resolved, nobody gets compensated right? How about calling a client before closing a call as resolved or does that not suit your business model
