@virginmedia our broadband is down flashing green light. The service page has a fault shown but check status says its working fine. You need diagnostics for your diagnostics...

@virginmedia Every morning around 9:30 this week, our business broadband has stopped working. Lights look normal and we need to power cycle to get service back. What's going on? Postcode B90 3BD Do you have a back up option available as this affects card payments.

@virginmedia Don’t try and pass the buck! It’s NOT a windows issue, it ONLY occurs on this Virgin network!

  • HelenAbdullah08
💙 Helen Abdullah 💙 (@HelenAbdullah08) reported from Redditch, England

@virginmedia We tried the messaging service thank you that didn’t help either. To be honest we are dreading trying to contact you again in the new year to get this sorted another 2 hours on the phone! I would have thought it your responsibility to sort this out but apparently not!

  • Ade1701
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England

@virginmedia Why is it your call centres and your web chat give no answer for hours on end, and your website constantly falls over returning error messages.... “Whoops! Something went wrong!” Your customer service is a joke!

  • mark_xc
Mark Baldwin (@mark_xc) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia your service is worse than ever, no wifi for a week and all you keep saying is it is very complicated and your engineers are trying to fix it

  • Ade1701
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England

@virginmedia Network security warnings, poor speed (even on direct cabled link to router), and we need a wifi booster which with the broadband, phone and tv package I believe is included. Still on hold after two hours! Wasted yesterday waiting for a response on so-called ‘live chat’!

  • notdodgy
Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia Postcode was entered and I was logged in. Running a test reported no problem.

  • Ade1701
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England

@virginmedia After a couple more wasted hours and speaking to two more useless, rude and incompetent call centre operatives your customer retention team actually listened. Might help if ALL your call centres were UK based and had some compassion.

  • Ade1701
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England

@virginmedia After more than FOUR HOURS on the phone I eventually got someone competent from billing to confirm I am eligible for one free booster and someone else to talk me through fixing the security issue. You seriously need to prioritise vulnerable customers!

  • lorna_conway
Doonie (@lorna_conway) reported from Redditch, England

@virginmedia It's not an issues according to the site. It's working on wired connections. I'll be looking for compensation after this. If the costomer tells you there's a problem then take their word they're the ones paying you, why would they spend money other than to get what they pay for.

  • dean_kavanagh
Dean Kavanagh (@dean_kavanagh) reported from Solihull, England

@barbs_paul @EE Up there with @virginmedia, horrendous service for existing customers!

  • lorna_conway

@virginmedia Friday I booked an engineer as the WiFi on our hub keeps dropping. At the same time I upgraded my package. This includes tech help. Since Friday I've had no WiFi. I tried website chat but got dropped I've tried calling but was waiting too long. I'm getting bored!

  • alextom15

  • Ade1701
Ade1701 (@Ade1701) reported from Dorridge, England

@virginmedia First thing I did, and I run them regularly. Only 53.46 Mbps download and just 9.99 upload on a supposedly 100Mbps service! On a wifi laptop right next to the router it’s just 23.43 and 10.08

  • bjwgorman
Ben Gorman (@bjwgorman) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia Always but it makes no difference. There have been issues where I live since the start of lockdown. I have made a complaint but it’s gone no where.

@ndabas @TLRailUK More interesting IMO – the IP address 80.0.1.0 belongs to Virgin Media (as part of 80.0.0.0/13). I wonder if the PIS uses VM, or if they're just using public IP space on a private network and hoping for the best?

  • granth1974
    Neil G (@granth1974) reported

@virginmedia hey virgin, you've downgraded my Netflix account without my permission. I'm mid contract. That's not allowed. I want it back to without ads asap or I reserve the right to cancel you without notice.

  • JimSummersNews
    Jamie Summers (@JimSummersNews) reported

Hi @virginmedia, cables belonging to VM have been detached and hanging dangerously from my building for several weeks. I’ve been told on four occasions an engineer will come to fix, and nothing has happened. Can you help please?

  • Mrfutherfukery
    Mrmutherfukery (@Mrfutherfukery) reported

@virginmedia @fanboyofnolan Yes, absolutely they do **** all even if you can actually get you speak to a person. Which is near impossible. Very bad company if you cancel your contract they call you in about 10 minutes 🤑🤑🤑🤑

  • Samina_masood3
    Samina Masood (@Samina_masood3) reported

@virginmedia This is the number that we have been calling since 02/5/26 which is a call centre in Pune India. And they are telling me that even with complete loss of service a technician can’t fix it until 12/05/26 we regret moving to Virgin Media!

  • eldarioth
    Eldarioth (@eldarioth) reported

@AncientJellyTot @virginmedia Same problem with religious callers but one replied with "Jesus would want to use to talk to you whatever your sign says". I had to stifle a giggle as I closed the door.

  • deanspread
    Deano (@deanspread) reported

@virginmedia Well I’m at work now but it was working then going off for a couple minutes then back on all day. Then about 9pm went off for 20 mins then back on. Went on your page to check the service and it was saying nothing was wrong.

  • SprocketEtQuill
    Sam Greenland (@SprocketEtQuill) reported

@virginmedia Another Virgin Media engineer came out again to bury the cable from house to street. The cable is now in trunking over ground and the internet service was severed. You have said it will take yet another on-site engineer to fix the connection and left me without a connection for the week - until an engineer is available. You have, however, paid £100 towards the cost of the alternative internet provider. Your logic was £30 for data (on a #GiffGaff SIM card which I chose) and £70 for a dongle. I bought a £120 4G modem for external use that connects directly to my #Unifi switch on WAN2, bypassing your hub altogether and giving a connection back to my whole house rather than just one computer with a USB port. Given it's taken since November to bury this cable, I'm not convinced tomorrow's engineer will be able to fix the connection or bury the cable. We will see how the day unfolds. Your contact centre staff all aim to be very helpful, and your service (when it's working) does provide a decent connection most of the time, but your implementation is lacking.

  • ChokeLever
    Teddy (@ChokeLever) reported

@giffgaff Tbh I didn’t chose @virginmedia because their reviews are poor. I should’ve known better as it was still their engineer who failed to show up. #Frustrating, but for #giffgaff not to have any means of rectifying the issue is unacceptable. I am being penalised as a result.
