@virginmedia Thanks. While I’m on the subject - why does it ALWAYS take multiple attempts to sort anything out with VM? Your WhatsApp and online support workers usually sign off with ‘rest assured you will not have to contact us again’. But this is rarely true?

  • kolapoagunbiade
TheBosz (@kolapoagunbiade) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Unfortunately, you dont have a ticketing system or cobtact email to track issues, rather a phone system that requires you to wait forever to get through to an agent. A/c number: 095063606. I was charged x2.5 of what i was tp pay.

  • ReissOmari
Gordé 🦩 (@ReissOmari) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia It’s on both WiFi and wired. At this present moment I’m unable to get ANY network from the router on both.

  • BrianMCape
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Another fail. I've reached out in exasperation since my chase-ups of 14th, 19th and today have been ignored. As have my 5 messages to your local rep who promised to be on hand. If you can't be bothered to help me, I'll just escalate via another route @richardbranson

  • BrianMCape
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Alternatively, if you feel the urge to actually be helpful, you can search my name and location (it's an uncommon name) and ask a complaints manager to contact me. No security issues or breaches, since the notes I've been assured are on file, will be there to check.

Yep. Down twice in one day. @virginmedia

  • CaseyRain
Casey Rain (aka S-Endz) (@CaseyRain) reported from Birmingham, England

Causing me to drop out of a work meeting once every 10 minutes. Oh, and Virgin tried to blame it on my hardware? Except... My neighbour is seeing the EXACT same thing. This wasn't happening before the outage. @virginmedia why am I paying you lots of money for a spotty connection?

  • EvanD
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia Just called your offshore call centre regarding my internet connection. I’m having the same issues as I had when I got a £154 credit from you. /1

  • ________Danny
Satish Danny Paul (@________Danny) reported from West Bromwich, England

@virginmedia i logged another complaint 1 to 2 weeks prior and heard nothing back. i was advised by cust service a month ago not to log a formal complaint and log an internal complaint instead

  • MariannexS
Marianne Sommerville 🌻 (@MariannexS) reported from West Bromwich, England

@virginmedia red button for the football not working again. @SkySports

  • mrmjprice
MJP - mastodonapp.uk/@mrmjprice (@mrmjprice) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Async live chat (WhatsApp) sucks as you let me text you with a problem, let it sit for hours, then close it down if I don’t reply within 5 mins and repeat. I’ll just ignore all the comms.

  • ________Danny
Satish Danny Paul (@________Danny) reported from West Bromwich, England

@virginmedia I received my new 500+mps broadband only to get 6mps on my phone in my room. The Router is Terrible and cannot send the speed to devices via wifi. Not Good for anyone

  • RobinB1971
Robin 🤘🏻 (@RobinB1971) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia signed up for your new broadband and still waiting for the stuff to arrive. Apparently parcel is still at @YodelOnline main hub. This is the SECOND day I've cancelled things and waited for it to arrive as yet to no avail. WTF is going on!?! 🤬

  • Rob_Hicks
W1NGNUT (@Rob_Hicks) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Doesn't matter now, we've terminated the contract and joined Three home broadband. I just think it's disgusting that a customer of over 10 years doesn't get offered a deal as good as a new customer.

  • MutliRaceMan
Jean Thierry 💙 (@MutliRaceMan) reported from Birmingham, England

@KellyQuilt @virginmedia Virgin are hopeless for ease of contact. My daughter was with them and the service wasn’t at all good. This nonsense about calling them at a time to suit them is just ludicrous. They need to admit that they (& others) don’t staff adequately to suit their customers convenience. 🤬

  • ReissOmari
Gordé 🦩 (@ReissOmari) reported from Birmingham, England

Ended up just reconnecting my TP Link router, it seems the problems were with my Hub 5 because everything seems to be working fine now. Not great @virginmedia

  • james_mockford_
    James Mockford (@james_mockford_) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Had a similar issue with EE/BT. Sent the faulty router back but they argued I never sent it back… continued to charge me for over 6 months. After complaining they opened an investigation, admitted they lost it and they did eventually send me a cheque for £400 😎

  • UKDan86
    Dan (@UKDan86) reported

@IanLythgoe4 @Jess_Simpson645 @virginmedia Let me help you with basic primary school level spelling Ian. "They don't care as long as THEY'RE getting THEIR money every month." See it isn't that hard is it?!

  • krym1087801
    Daniel 📺 (@krym1087801) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia That's exactly why so many people are switching to IP**—it offers better quality, greater stability, and costs much less than traditional TV subscriptions. 👍

  • VirginMediaNews
    Virgin Media News (@VirginMediaNews) reported

The US military has launched an eighth night of air strikes on Iran after Tehran attacked a US military base in Jordan. Two American service members died, while a third was listed as missing in action. The US military says the strikes are designed to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. 📺 More on Virgin Media PLAY

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt I’ve just left them for exactly the same reason. My contract had ended and they upped my package by £79 and said they couldn’t do it cheaper but new customers were the same price as my old one. No loyalty to a long standing customer

  • stuarttownsend8
the view of stu (@stuarttownsend8) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Even when you send it back in the packaging they provide, they don’t acknowledge receipt of it and just charge you anyway, takes a month to get your money back after they finally admit they had it for weeks, just like you said. Terrible company

  • DeviateDefiant
    R.L. MacMurray 🇬🇧 (@DeviateDefiant) reported

@DeviousPL @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt Yeah their C/S is absolutely atrocious, I'm basically 'grandfathered' into VM from when their network was the only way to get more than about 8mbit down. These days the DOCSIS/coax setup is vastly inferior to any OpenReach FTTP, with fibre directly to the socket.

  • _DanJbh
    Dan🥷 (@_DanJbh) reported

    @Simon_Coates @Simon_Whale @virginmedia Pay £20 a month for Hyperoptic and I get 1gb up and down.

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt Good luck trying to cancel the contract. Virgin media have been fined for not letting people leave.

@O2 I am currently in the USA and received a message about roaming charges ending on the 20th. I am a Virgin Media Volt customer and should have O2 Travel Inclusive Zone. Can you please confirm my account is set up correctly so I don't get charged tomorrow?"
