  • BrianMCape
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia And this is why, I'll be reporting you to trading standards for fraudulent misselling/misrepresentation and then abdicating ALL responsibility/accountability to resolve. There's no security/DPA issues in you giving me a direct dial number via DM. You just don't want to resolve.

  • steveblyth

I don’t mind joining the cacophony confirming @virginmedia is down. Maybe it’s linked to their space program going bankrupt. #VirginMediaoutage

  • rachmadmank
Rachael Barker (@rachmadmank) reported from Solihull, England

  • EvanD
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England

  • stumccullagh
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia But when a contract is agreed like a mortgage or a fixed energy deal surely the agreement should last the full term. I’ve had issues since September & been told I can’t leave due to being under a contract so why should my costs go up when I’ve got an agreement in place until Dec

  • stumccullagh
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Solihull, England

@IanMurphy111 @virginmedia Been with them since Telewest I don’t know why I stay false promises poor service

  • BrianMCape
Brian Cape (@BrianMCape) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia No. Already done it about 7 times without any luck. I refuse to waste more hours in queues, only to rehash my issues to another anonymous operator. I've been assured that this is in the hands of a named handler, who didn't call me back as promised and is ignoring my emails. Fail

  • robintjohnson8
Robin Johnson (@robintjohnson8) reported from Coventry, England

@virginmedia Thanks. While I’m on the subject - why does it ALWAYS take multiple attempts to sort anything out with VM? Your WhatsApp and online support workers usually sign off with ‘rest assured you will not have to contact us again’. But this is rarely true?

  • jfrncs_
John (@jfrncs_) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Hi, I have now tried unsuccessfully for 12 hours to use the WhatsApp service as again it goes around in circles if I am not immediately available. The number you helpfully provided hangs up after sending a link… please advise how I talk to someone about my account.

  • Stephen12857059
Stephen Bennett (@Stephen12857059) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia I called 150 today to speak to a Supervisor regarding my bill. I was told I would receive a call within the hour. NOTHING. I agreed a contract 18/8/22 and the last two payments have been £65 & £75 more than agreed. This is shocking customer care and service.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Khushal
    K (@Khushal) reported

@RizWanKenobi_ Everyone’s on OpenReach lines, but I was with Sky first & their setup alone took 6 weeks cos they’re too incompetent though service was okayish. Now with Virgin Media for 3 years and paying for 1 gig to get a 500 Mbps download speed. Complained repeatedly but nothing happens.

  • jonblackbsb
    Jonathan Black (@jonblackbsb) reported

I love on a street where it seems over 50% of households use @VMO2Life @virginmedia . That’s quite a lot of £££ per month paid out . But for the best part of a year everyone’s work has been disrupted by poor or no service . Apparently it’s noise emanating from a house 🏠 🤷1/2

  • shellenunn
    michelle nunn (@shellenunn) reported

@virginmedia Waste of time calling them passed from department to department told can’t give a date or of date is given NO construction DONE have asked about compensation told have to wait u tol service is activated and told be patient may - Aug I think that is patient and a joke

  • RdeB1973
    Robert de Bruin (@RdeB1973) reported

@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Virgin Media do not care about there customers, they don't take serious complaints seriously! They take unauthorised monies then fail to refund ! They make it up as they go along. In other words please sort out my refund ASAP.

  • caville
    Nick Caville (@caville) reported

@virginmedia Since your O2 merger, your website has been absolute dogshite. Can't view bill, can't cancel, nothing loads etc. Nice work!

  • Prodgey

@virginmedia Yes numerous times, phone calls, engineer visit - all keep changing resolution day and time and now 9 days without broadband.

  • ogerreyn
    z (@ogerreyn) reported

@virginmedia do you not have reasonable adjustments in place for disabled people? I visited a shop today and was told by the manager that they do not and just kept saying I have to phone a number. It seems like your company is only interested in grabbing money regardless service

  • Mteasel67
    mark teasel💙💙💙 (@Mteasel67) reported

@virginmedia is your website down at all ? , I'm trying to look at some links you sent me earlier ( via X) and all I get is an error message 403 forbidden 🤔

  • ThanyiaMoore
    🇯🇲🇬🇧 (@ThanyiaMoore) reported

@virginmedia shocking... WiFi just drops off when it feels like it. No notice, nothing. Can you fix up please, we pay too much 😩

  • LessGrumpy
    GrumpyByName 🇮🇱 (@LessGrumpy) reported

@virginmedia Wrong. Insurers got slaughtered for this sort of behaviour and rightly so. I’m still paying a third more than the price you would offer a new customer. Case number is C-2906261078.
