  • CaseyRain Casey Rain (aka S-Endz) (@CaseyRain) reported from Birmingham, England

Had an @virginmedia broadband outage on Sunday for 2 hours. Since then, connection so spotty that I'm getting 10 seconds of completely dropped packets followed by 20 seconds of slow-as-molasses ping times once every 10 minutes.

  • EvanD Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Yes I’ve done that. My connection drops out for a minute or so every 30-60 mins. Hard to replicate. My account has notes regarding the reason why the credit was given last time. Ideally I don’t want to wait so long for the same issue to be fixed.

  • Dereklad derek(🕖❤️‍🔥samurai🇨🇳) (@Dereklad) reported from Birmingham, England

Virgin media. Your internet broadband is down,we hope to have it fixed by 10pm.😣 Modern warfare 2 campaign day. And no internet.😢

  • frugalista1 Frugalista (@frugalista1) reported from Dorridge, England

@virginmedia Typical Virgin Media response. Passing me on. Not actually solving the problem. I will never come back to @virginmedia and will advise all my friends never to think of using you.

@virginmedia why is the Sky Sports red button not working

  • kolapoagunbiade TheBosz (@kolapoagunbiade) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Unfortunately, you dont have a ticketing system or cobtact email to track issues, rather a phone system that requires you to wait forever to get through to an agent. A/c number: 095063606. I was charged x2.5 of what i was tp pay.

  • EvanD Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia 2/ Despite that issue being due to a junction connection in the cabinet in the street, the op seems to refuse to look at that and just wants to reboot my router. Also claims it is due to my use of Modem Mode. Is there anyone in the UK I can contact regarding this?

  • Phil_Bonna Bonna (@Phil_Bonna) reported from Birmingham, England

@Angela_Griffin @virginmedia I have the fibre optic broadband for £23.95 month and the customer service is great

@itsmeAlexVega @virginmedia I’ve used Virgin Media for years but going to cancel when my current contact expires

  • GodivaGuidedogs GodivaPuppyAppeal (@GodivaGuidedogs) reported from Nuneaton, England

@virginmedia Even more reason to cancel, typical corporate strategy why offer people something cheaper in today’s economic climate when you can continue to rip them off

  • GodivaGuidedogs GodivaPuppyAppeal (@GodivaGuidedogs) reported from Nuneaton, England

@virginmedia Mainly because you’re now too expensive, called retention team and was offered a derisory £4 discount. Enquired about new streaming service, agent knew nothing about it

  • CaseyRain Casey Rain (aka S-Endz) (@CaseyRain) reported from Birmingham, England

Causing me to drop out of a work meeting once every 10 minutes. Oh, and Virgin tried to blame it on my hardware? Except... My neighbour is seeing the EXACT same thing. This wasn't happening before the outage. @virginmedia why am I paying you lots of money for a spotty connection?

  • robchippyman Rob Chipman (@robchippyman) reported from Birmingham, England

@Tilton247 @virginmedia I had the same for 2 years. Constantly disconnecting on a daily basis . Changed the Hub and it worked straight away. No issues since. Good luck getting a new hub off them though.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • 2tykes Sue Phillips (@2tykes) reported

@virginmedia I called your support team last night at around 8.30pm and someone there told me. His name might have been Sam but not too sure. He tried to reinstate hub 3 but couldn’t as hub 4 was activated. I had received a text message around 6.30pm to advise that my kit had been activated

  • luca_viggiani Luca Viggiani (@luca_viggiani) reported

@virginmedia One of the most infuriating things about being a customer is the lack of communication regarding planned outages. While doing a status check last week, I noticed the planned maintenance for our area today. But crucially, NO emails from Virgin. None.

  • Will_Clarke1 Williiam Darbyshire-Clarke (@Will_Clarke1) reported

@virginmedia The issue is with wireless connections across all devices. It’s not a coverage issue as we also have the pods.

  • mamadeaner lisadeaner (@mamadeaner) reported

@virginmedia Hi John, download speeds better but slower than normal and upload speeds are dreadful. So so slow.

@virginmedia 'Problems'? Very clear what the problem.. the problem is my Internet keeps going down every other day just like thousands of other customers. I want a price deduction/discount. Worst thing about it, is you put my bill up every year as well. Get real.

  • pasedaademola paseda ademola (@pasedaademola) reported

@virginmedia i am using a wireless connection. I work from my office, but the network constantly cuts of. I am struggling with meetings, or doing any work online. Please help

  • tweoram t.w.e.oram@gmail.com (@tweoram) reported

@virginmedia That's if you have an hour to waste. If this was available online with the ease that one can sign up to your service you could free up your service reps. I've spent enough time on this issue and it is finally cancelled with a 3hr conversation on WhatsApp.

  • mamadeaner lisadeaner (@mamadeaner) reported

@virginmedia Testing on wired. Service generally is incredibly slow for some reason. Never usually have any issues. I’ve done equipment test and it’s says all good. Did a re boot but still very slow
