Had an @virginmedia broadband outage on Sunday for 2 hours. Since then, connection so spotty that I'm getting 10 seconds of completely dropped packets followed by 20 seconds of slow-as-molasses ping times once every 10 minutes.

Stu (@stuartc87) reported from Coventry, England

@JLDawson1989 @virginmedia For the purpose of a better service as well. Joke

  • stumccullagh
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia But when a contract is agreed like a mortgage or a fixed energy deal surely the agreement should last the full term. I’ve had issues since September & been told I can’t leave due to being under a contract so why should my costs go up when I’ve got an agreement in place until Dec

  • s_birket
Daisy (@s_birket) reported from Coventry, England

@virginmedia Internet suddenly cut out yesterday, all checks done, but first available tech appt is 3rd Nov. I wfh, that will be 5 days without broadband. That's appalling.

  • Stephen12857059
Stephen Bennett (@Stephen12857059) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia I called 150 today to speak to a Supervisor regarding my bill. I was told I would receive a call within the hour. NOTHING. I agreed a contract 18/8/22 and the last two payments have been £65 & £75 more than agreed. This is shocking customer care and service.

  • ReissOmari
Gordé 🦩 (@ReissOmari) reported from Birmingham, England

Ended up just reconnecting my TP Link router, it seems the problems were with my Hub 5 because everything seems to be working fine now. Not great @virginmedia

  • ReissOmari
Gordé 🦩 (@ReissOmari) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Think we need to call an engineer out anyways, before the outage I was only getting 600mbps max when my package is the 1Gig.

  • ________Danny
Satish Danny Paul (@________Danny) reported from West Bromwich, England

@virginmedia i logged another complaint 1 to 2 weeks prior and heard nothing back. i was advised by cust service a month ago not to log a formal complaint and log an internal complaint instead

  • ReissOmari
Gordé 🦩 (@ReissOmari) reported from Birmingham, England

Mad that I pay £71 a month for 350mbps a month for @virginmedia for them to only supply me with 40mbps, internet is barely moving, can’t even load basic web pages on my MacBook or phone. Problems in the Birmingham area??

  • Stephen12857059
Stephen Bennett (@Stephen12857059) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Nobody has called me and the WhatsApp chat is very frustrating and not dealing with the issue. This is very simple, I was sent contract paperwork with an agreed monthly fee of £86.75. Why have I paid two months of excessively higher payments. I should have left VM

  • scbadham
Scott badham (@scbadham) reported from West Bromwich, England

@virginmedia really disappointed in the service lately all it does is keep dropping. I’ve had no Internet services for the last hour again the fourth time this week and it’s still not working

  • kevmaslin
Kev Maslin (@kevmaslin) reported from West Bromwich, England

@virginmedia The ideal resolution would have been for VM to return the document as originally promised. We have dealt with other companies in this regard and all have been prompt and professional. Even the DWP accepted a photocopy of the POA. Why VM couldn't is entirely beyond me.

  • stumccullagh
Stuart McCullagh (@stumccullagh) reported from Solihull, England

Had problems with my TV since September now can’t get any live football or movies @virginmedia

  • ReissOmari

  • ReissOmari
Gordé 🦩 (@ReissOmari) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Hi, I’m getting around 80mpbs now, should be 350 though, when I try and test it says there’s a problem in the area, but no further information

@virginmedia What with the losing channels right left and center, pass few months seen about 5-6 channels, latest one That's TV, price up, channels down, what are you replacing them with, Rewind would be a good one to start with.

  • JuliaCoombcj
    Julia Coombs (@JuliaCoombcj) reported

@Stsantek @virginmedia Unfortunately this is standard procedure. Tried to cancel Sky TV just before contract ended as price had risen, watched the date like a hawk. They advised me to take out the 2 years again and cancel on the date. Hope you never notice. Why isn’t this illegal?

@kwestfanclub @Stsantek @virginmedia No, the responsibility is with the customer to know what contract they are bound to, however unwanted it is

  • ____CJ______
    CJ 🍉🌈 (@____CJ______) reported

@MichelleBeckett @SkyUK @VodafoneUK They are so out of touch it's unreal. I recently had to phone virgin media "bereavement and critical illness line", a relative has terminal cancer, but yet they can't offer monthly rolling contracts? We had to sign up for a min 2 year contract? It's disgusting. I'll never go VM!

  • waterjetcut
    Ian (@waterjetcut) reported

@MichelleBeckett @virginmedia Tell them to **** off. Pay up to the date he died. Sorry for coarse language but the contract died with your dad.
