@virginmedia But when a contract is agreed like a mortgage or a fixed energy deal surely the agreement should last the full term. I’ve had issues since September & been told I can’t leave due to being under a contract so why should my costs go up when I’ve got an agreement in place until Dec

Stephen Cobb, #FBPE 🇺🇦 (@zcobb) reported from Coventry, England

I just spent about 20 minutes trying to find out why I'm getting email from @virginmedia about a SIM that I didn't order. As far as I can tell, the email is legit and Virgin is sending me, and a lot of other people, a replacement SIM "to improve service." Did I miss a memo?

  • EvanD
Evan Davis (@EvanD) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia 2/ Despite that issue being due to a junction connection in the cabinet in the street, the op seems to refuse to look at that and just wants to reboot my router. Also claims it is due to my use of Modem Mode. Is there anyone in the UK I can contact regarding this?

@biggle1908 Avoid Virgin Media at all costs. Call centres are overseas. Back up if you have real issues is very slow. Regular price increases. When you renew your contract, it will be considerably higher.

Good afternoon everyone I’ll briefly share my POV on choosing a good proxy. Here are the 3 major things you must check before using any IP: 1. ISP (Internet Service Provider)
This is the most important factor.
Think of it like our local networks — Glo, Airtel, MTN, or 9mobile.
Always pick residential consumer ISPs (e.g., AT&T, Comcast for USA; Telstra/TPG for Australia; Virgin Media, BT, Vodafone for UK) instead of datacenter providers (DigitalOcean, AWS, Choopa, etc.).
Websites easily flag datacenter IPs, but residential ones look like normal users on home Wi-Fi or mobile data. 2. Fraud Score / IP Reputation
Before binding the proxy, test it with tools like Scamalytics, IPQS, or Pixelscan. • ✅ Low Fraud Score (0–10) = Clean & safe. • ❌ High Fraud Score (30+) = Avoid. It will trigger CAPTCHAs, bot detection, or shadowbans.
Also check it’s not blacklisted on major spam databases. 3. IP Range (First 3 Octets)
Not all ranges from the same ISP perform the same. Some subnets get abused over time.
Australia examples:
❌ Avoid: 1., 101., 110.
✅ Good: 124., 121., 120. (Telstra) | 80. (TPG)
UK examples:
✅ Good: 86., 80. (Virgin Media) | 82., 78. (BT) Pick the right ISP and you’ll rarely get flagged. This was the main issue a lot of people faced with services like Outlier and Handshake. What proxy challenges are you currently facing? Drop them below

@virginmedia I’ve tried to use your online web chat to speak with a so called “agent” who didn’t respond for 5 minutes and used language that AI would use, if this is the kind of customer service you guys will be using then I’ll be looking to take my custom elsewhere

@DorzetRob @Artemisapphire Ditto here. We're between 3 towns. Sod all signal. Had to get 'wi-fi calling' on the mobile phones, to make mobile calls via the broadband. Smarty seems to work OK. Old copper land line now shut off by Virgin Media.
