@virginmedia So, this mistake has been resolved very quickly by someone via virgin app this morning. Credit where credit is due. They apologised, applied a rolling credit to the account to cover the monthly cost, and refunded the postage and installation charges. Let's hope this fix works

Never rant on socials but when a company calls you a day before, confirming they’re coming out to install broadband after 6 weeks, and on the day you get a text from CS to state it’s been cancelled due to lack of communication... @virginmedia pissed off is an understatement 🤯

@virginmedia Thanks, but you’ve advised checking this before. Which we do now as a matter of course. There’s no issue until 2 devices join video calls or stream online content, like Netflix. Then the internet speed grinds to a snail’s pace.

Seriously what is going on with @virginmedia broadband today. When doing speed tests I was getting 8mbps, after multiple router reboots I was at 63mbps and now the tests are regularly coming back as between 0 & 1mbps. Apparently there are no issues in the area HA!

@virginmedia When you say ‘spoken to the team’ I presume you mean ‘interacted with the site’. It is almost impossible to speak to a person. The site now confirms there is a problem and it is being attended to. I guess this stuff just doesn’t get looked at out of office hours.

@virginmedia It was horrible yesterday seems to be the router itself very slow via Wi-Fi so had to use the Wi-Fi booster with the wired connection to stop it from lagging and glitching during matches but it’s not really good enough tbh your services aren’t exactly cheap
