  • richbishop Rich Bishop 😷 (@richbishop) reported from Cawston, England

@HeyPJB @virginmedia Yeah. That's easy enough. My Virgin gigabit and TV was jumping from £74 to £89 next year. BT offering a very similar service for £84 but includes Netflix (£13.99 worth), which Virgin can't do.

  • Covlad459811 chris (@Covlad459811) reported from Coventry, England

@Ledscov @virginmedia We are going to cancel the lot tomorrow as good as the product is not prepared to pay this sorta money with the price of everything going us they will be sacrificed

  • oftherain Iain Gorrie (@oftherain) reported from Coventry, England

@virginmedia Trying to resolve a billing issue and coming up against a brick wall and no way forward. My bill increased from £33.50 to £52.50 which I have not agreed to. Can we sort this amicably or do I need to go to the ombudsman to sort things out? Customer service...

  • ollieg21296 Ollie (@ollieg21296) reported from Ketteringham, England

@virginmedia I’m currently a Virgin Mobike customer but I will be emigrating to Canada mid-term in my contract. Is there any way I can get out of my contract without a cancellation fee?

  • 1merritt79 Jamie Merritt (@1merritt79) reported from Rugby, England

@virginmedia second outage of broadband in as many days in Rugby. Just closed an account - with never any problems and a new one now in my name I've had 2 outages within a week! What is going on? I'm stuck at home with after effects of covid and rely on b/band to watch TV!

  • oftherain Iain Gorrie (@oftherain) reported from Ryton-on-Dunsmore, England

@virginmedia I have already opened a formal complaint. This was dismissed with "You are unhappy about the poor customer service you experienced. We request you call on the number..." which led to further a further call, lots of waiting and no further progress. Hence this Twitter conversation.

  • paul_ley Paul Ley (@paul_ley) reported from Tamworth District, England

Virgin media sim card is free and it's not worth it. It's really bad. Hardly ever get a signal when out when u do it's about 5mb

  • skybluechick72 Sam D (@skybluechick72) reported from Rugby, England

Any one else having @virginmedia broadband issues?

  • b1gpat Pat Ryan (@b1gpat) reported from Nuneaton, England

@virginmedia Netflix came back today. Separately, the movie I recorded last night started 30 mins late but the Virgin box didn't adjust for it. So I missed the ending. Pretty poor service, considering how much I pay every month.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • GregoryJardella Gregory Jardella (@GregoryJardella) reported

@virginmedia Can I ask that this be escalated to a manager as I have attempted all of these support solutions before and I am upset at the fact that I am paying a lot of money for a faulty service from yourselves.

  • BaddPreacher BadPreacher🖕🏼🇨🇦➡️🇬🇧🇪🇺 (@BaddPreacher) reported

@virginmedia Done that too. Thanks for trying to help but I won’t be wasting any more of my time with Virgin.

  • ThingsByNik Nik (@ThingsByNik) reported

@virginmedia Why can’t I email someone my account number, details, and say I want to cancel. That’s all I want to do. It’s a 30 second phone call or email, but it’s being made difficult. I wanted to give my 30 days notice yesterday, that’s dragged to today, and will now drag into tomorrow.

  • ClaudBurkinshaw Claud Burkinshaw (@ClaudBurkinshaw) reported

@fluffykit_uk @virginmedia Virgin are rubbish! I have 300meg line and never get over 50meg in any device... definitely going to sky.

  • fluffykit_uk Heather (@fluffykit_uk) reported

@virginmedia Mega problems keeping an active wi-fi signal today in Harlow. Missed the goal in the cup match because I had to reboot the router and now it's patchy connection. Up and down like a yoyo.

  • tahiri79 Tahir Ismail (@tahiri79) reported

@virginmedia Really bad practice. With other suppliers, if you move home, it breaks the contract with no fee to pay. You aren’t able to offer the service but we still have to pay you? And such an extortionate amount? Appalling during such tough economic times.

  • ThingsByNik Nik (@ThingsByNik) reported

@nookandwillow @virginmedia They are awful to get hold of, unless of course you are willing to upgrade which then they answer straight away. I am paying 2x as much for my services than new customers, even though I have been with them for about 15yrs. They don’t care about deals for loyalty.

  • Zenith_UK Zenith (@Zenith_UK) reported

@virginmedia Hi! I stream full time on @Twitch & unfortunately there is an SNR error in my area currently. This has caused me to drop over 25% of my frames when I live stream, which is affecting my ability to go live. I've been told the issue will continue until the 8th of Feb.

  • nookandwillow clare wilson (@nookandwillow) reported from Prescot, England

@ThingsByNik @virginmedia Oh no, I’ve just signed up for their BB as our Sky one is awful and it’s the fastest available, I keep hearing not the greatest things about them though 🙈

  • KhanShaziah Shatzy (@KhanShaziah) reported

@virginmedia The Engineers have not shown up 3 times despite us being told they were treating this as a priority incident. Promised call from Team Manager within 2 hours. Nothing. An engineer was scheduled for a visit on Saturday 29 January – but did not show up.
