I can get wi-fi installed here just for me, but you usually need a phone line and the cost is going to be fairly high.

On Googling, seems common issue?

But no thats not happened... appears I will be paying for 2 providers for 2 weeks as number switch not requested... to be told when spoke to your "customer SMS advisor" that its 2 weeks from installation...

We ended up going with Sky and havent had any problems since then. We kept the broadband with Virgin because we get 1GB for £38 month with Netflix included. Shop around mate 👍
