  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia @dev101 Your on-call Network support, who had to wait 18 hours to be sent the ticket, and then he had to endure 4 hours on the phone to India. 2 other households in area also affected. Offer of compensation £0 (issue occurred 15:30 17/9, finally rectified 18:30 19/9).

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia Second day running, get to 4pm and the internet crashes ... Unfortunately I do not have the luxury to stop work and try to fix it

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia Because I wouldn't connect a laptop to an unknown (to me) website, through the router, where the could alledgely monitor connection speeds. When your engineer visited he had to escalate the issue to your network team. Because I had 1 downstream & 1 upstream not the 24 down and 4.

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia Also perhap if you read the full thread, it would help.

  • matthew_poole30 Pessimistic Palace Fan (@matthew_poole30) reported from Balderton, England

@virginmedia sort it out lads, about to go into national lockdown and have to work from home and your service has gone down. ******* class that

  • JonLPage Jon Page (@JonLPage) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia Hello! Do you have any update on the intermittency issues in LN5?

  • SkyAlicry AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia I gave in and decided to call. 30 minutes listening to the worst quality music ever! And counting... :’( @virginmedia sucks *****

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia My Daught is having significant problems with her IPAD as result, and using her phones data (no we are not Virgin phones), which is costing her, when your network falters, I then switch to my NHS phone and use its data, and my simply uses her work phone ...both essential workers.

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia I do really get fed up with VirginMedias poor service and platitudes. The speed on my internet connection is down less than 56kb, but your Helpdesk technicians consider this to be a problem

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia I have been offered the opportunity to complain, but as a customer of 20+ years I am aware complaints tend to get ignored. At its worst speed was down to 0.5Mega bits per second ... At its best (for 20 minutes or so) maybe 150Mega bits per second. Paying for 200Mbps .....

  • SkyAlicry AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia I didn’t know I could use the forums to terminate my contract.

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia Your web app says there is no problem, but your telephone diagnostic services says there is? Which is correct?

  • SkyAlicry AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia It’s intermittent. Not off often enough to be called no service or you’d have to pay us back for the lack of service but not on long enough to be much use.

  • SkyAlicry AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia After an hour and ten minutes of appalling noise the woman who put us back on hold disconnected us. Five minutes into the new call and all we want to do now is cancel the contract that you’ve failed to provide.

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia Er no, if you had read the thread in its entirety, you will see that I said I was getting someone to look at how to organise the internal network on the house, and I would be leaving at the end of my contract, in 17 months. I would not recommend Virgins services to anyone.

  • SkyAlicry AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia I’ve given up. You’ve failed yet again to provide what I we needed. I’m not surprised. Virgin Media is fast becoming synonymous with this lack of service. I do NOT recommend you to friends and family.

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia This was 14 days ago (17/09/2020), and I cannot remember the website, and the network engineer advised (19/09/202) me it might 24 hours before it settled .... Since then it's been variable ....

  • SkyAlicry AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

Oh look no internet again. Thanks @virginmedia Someone recommend a new service provider please because I’ve truly had enough :(

  • ImpAngel1 Imp & Angel (@ImpAngel1) reported from North Hykeham, England

Extremely frustrated and disappointed at the very poor service we're receiving from @vmbusiness as we bring five new phone contracts over from EE. No reply to emails, no returned tel calls. #unacceptable

  • Clive_Burt Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia I do get fed up with @virginmedia platitudes and inability to solve why I have poor connections speed, down to 28kbs at the moment, but your Helpdesk, after I waited 45 minutes, do not consider this to be a problem. Try downloading a 100Mb spreadsheet at that speed.

Don’t even try and talk to @virginmedia if trying to cancel an account for a cancer sufferer as they don’t give a toss, wankers

  • rich17lucas Richard Lucas (@rich17lucas) reported

@virginmedia Hi, what is the connectivity problem affecting #burgesshill. It's been out since 14:00 yesterday and latest update has the fix time changed from 10:00 to16:00 but no reason.

  • bazzacollins Barry Collins (@bazzacollins) reported

My Virgin Media line has been down for 18 hours now, despite them sending me a text message saying it was fixed.

  • gdgwhite Giles White (@gdgwhite) reported

@virginmedia December bill is in. No credit for the £99 that you have stolen from me #VirginMedia - another month goes by. No contact. No service. Just lies.

  • AFCGoonerPaul Record Cup Winners (@AFCGoonerPaul) reported

@virginmedia I am aware of that as I work in the tech space. What we want is transparency on the issue (what is it ? Is the fix technical or part sourcing). Not constant push backs on ETA time. Thanks.

  • martinwratten martin wratten (@martinwratten) reported

@virginmedia The fix has just been moved to 4pm now, this isn't great. @SkyHelpTeam too late to come back??? #MissYou

  • AFCGoonerPaul Record Cup Winners (@AFCGoonerPaul) reported

@virginmedia Yeah sending me to a bot text service is a great help. I doubt it will be able to get the details on this case.

  • ananta_uk Ananta🇬🇧🇮🇳 (@ananta_uk) reported

@virginmedia 0753 305 1809 is a bot! It redirects you to online URL to check status. I know the status - no Internet. Not much help. If a human at your call centre can’t help, then you think a Bot is going to do the job?! Really?

  • pamos78 Pam (@pamos78) reported

@virginmedia Its changed again, and now I will need to go from tier 2 to tier 4 where my office is, we had a 7 day outage only 8 weeks ago. I am being put at risk because of virgin unable to keep our connection. Seriously awful service. No updates and a town again without BB
