BT (British Telecom) Outage in Skelton, City of York, England

@bt_uk having issues in YO30 area with broadband , Wife is at home trying to report the issue via the app which is proving difficult

@bt_uk repeated calls from allegedly BT Open Reach saying slow internet speeds/internet compromised. I'm with @virginmedia and when questioned they just hung up 01234222910 number. It's a scam to take control of your computer and get your personal data.

@bt_uk Your network just doesn’t have the capacity to deal with demand on the south side of York - lots of people on the development have the same problem

@BTCare I suppose you will deny knowledge of the automated message I received informing me that my service will be terminated immediately unless I renew (in the process of switching to @Plusnet). This practice is at best sharp and most probably illegal. Discusting.

SquashTV and coverage by BTSport are increasing viewers I think but marginally. Hopefully if it can get Olympic coverage in Paris then that may help. Criminal as it’s truest the beautiful game!

Yet again @bt_uk @BTCare I am incredibly disappointed by your service, changed my direct debit and I've ended up with something going wrong. The communication sent to me is not what was changed on your system. Appalling service.

@johnwithbeard @thepixelgrid @bt_uk I've considered writing an Asterisk implementation for a Raspi so I can put them on hold. I just don't have a phone plugged into my landline. If you're on the Telephone Preference Service ask the caller for their name and registered company # to help report them. They go quick

“Fraudsters are known to make calls claiming to work for @bt_uk” says their website. Never experienced until today; automated voice call saying internet would be cutoff in 24 hours, press #1 gets u thru 2 a bunch of Indians who try2 walk u thru typing sh*t into a web browser

@bt_uk Ohh no. I moved out and didn’t cancel the service. No one used it but I had to pay up until I did cancel. This was last year though.

@bt_uk Yes but doesn’t work either hence the call! 20 mins now and transferred to a queue as operator had a problem with her system

Phoning @bt_uk to get a line fitted and broadband and 15 mins in and told systems issues, doesn’t bode well 😱

@ChrisPrattFanAk @bt_uk Ask Lisa if I can have her number. Also, if it’s in his name then he has to pay the bill. It’s his fault for not contacting them. I forgot to cancel after moving and even though they can check and see the data usage was at zero for two months I still had to pay. You lucked out 👍🏻

@bt_uk I login using lastpass, it logs me into my email but not MyBT but both have the same password.
