Broadband broadly working now. Openreach reported rodent nest at base of telephone pole and cable had been chewed. Openreach part was very efficient, about 24 hours. @bt_uk part less so. 3.5 days for them to get a home tech expert out, who then confirmed that problem was outside

@bt_uk Hi Neil Thanks for running the tests. Whilst it is much better (as we now have some sort of service) but internet cut out three times since 10am (wifi strong and stable!) we are at the end of a long, old, copper cable from the cabinet so there are quite frequent issues. K

@Bayfield81 @btsport @cocker Oh totally agree. Irish bias definite issue. I have no interest in biased pundits really. I just want them to tell me things I am unable to see myself - Healy can be good at that but he’s just not as funny as he thinks he is. To me anyway

@bt_uk Hi Alannah, thanks for a speedy reply but you can help but taking off from my bill the cost of phone services which I have told you for years we don't use. Now you've taken maintenance of the old network out of the equation, I shouldn't be charged.

@bt_uk The problem is between BT and the hub according to the app. But between the hub and device I have used both wi-fi and ethernet, an iPhone and laptop and also a non-BT test - the same. Yes, I know upload speed is lower - but 20x lower? Is that normal?

@bt_uk My husband has just received a text saying our service should be back to normal. IT’S NOT. I hope that means the engineer hasn’t been cancelled?
