@TalkTalk I spent a long time today online trying to cancel my fathers broadband only account. Referred to customer service - open until 8 pm. You’re shut. He pays @BT_uk for landline and has had the number for nearly 70years. He is 94. You say he must lose the number. Help

@bt_uk Thank you for the straightforward answers, though can you make sure that the support team on live chat are aware of this? They are giving conflicting and incorrect information despite me asking the very same questions.

@bt_uk say it's taken those 2 weeks for @WeAreOpenreach to even open the ticket request. Running a business needs Internet, and woth mobile signal not being great here, they need a landline. Broken for for 2 weeks with no move to fix it, isn't acceptable.

@MarcSDuffy @bt_uk Loyalty doesn’t pay sadly. I was with Sky for over ten years and left because the lowest they could get me down to was £60 for what I wanted and if I was a new customer I’d get it for less than £40. With virgin now.

@bt_uk No you’ve never done it before! You didn’t say oh it’s this much for 3 weeks then it’s going up £5! I picked it because that’s how much I could afford. How long do I have to cancel. I haven’t even had the first monthly bill yet.
