Lumpy Pete (@LumpyPete) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE They did this to us a couple of years ago, bought an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) for any power cuts which happens a lot round here. Can't help thinking we'll regret getting rid of landlines, we're putting all our eggs in one (digital) basket, no good will come of it.

Either you have a mobile as backup or you buy a battery backup. (Uninterruptable Power Supply UPS). BT/EE or whatever their name is this week will supply them for vulnerable people.
