-
Scarebear (@Scare158Steve) reported from Wandsworth, England@bt_uk Thanks for the help. I spoke to freeview, tried a few things which didn't work but i contacted your TV help and after doing a few basic things somehow it appears to be working now! Very Strange. Tks
-
Allan Kempson (@summers_allan) reported from Romford, England@talkSPORT @Sjopinion10 That's a bad idea. Sky have rights to other sports too, so a netflix football service would be yet another thing to pay for if you like multiple sports. More football needs to be on freeview channels like BBC and ITV.
-
Carl (@shoxtl2) reported from Croydon, England@MyHydeHome @SCCIAlphatrack Not even sure how that's possible there's no record anyways over the weekend we lost signal for the communal aerial it has become very weak very pixelated can pick up the Freeview HD channels

Freeview Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Gus (@Gus_preston) reported@Michael37822549 @ChrisMousse3 @JuliaHB1 So you're happy paying a licence fee if it gets spent on other things than just the BBC? What about the support of the Freeview network that allows free-to-air TV to he broadcast. Or the broadband roll-out. Or SC4? That's not a Welsh language station.
-
David Scott 🏴 (@daveofclanscott) reported@jamiebglover Get Freeview for FREE, If it’s such a great service why won’t pay a subscription. #DefundTheBBC
-
Emma Atkinson (@Atkinson2Emma) reported@MartinSLewis Alternatives to the TV licence were looked at a few years ago. I was told Freeview will shut down in a few years. How would we handle a COVID outbreak without a national broadcaster and only Internet/Cable subs? What happens to the stuff BBC runs under the hood?
-
Douglas Mcfarlane (@dougmcfarlane41) reported@mrdanwalker Of the Freeview TV transmitter network. 4 months and only on January 5th did we get 9 out of the 220+ channels back, conveniently all BBC NO ITV/C4/C5 etc but it's the North East so expect the southern centric BBC not to be too fussed, you only cover the stories you wish so not
-
MrTARDIS (@TrilbeeReviews) reported@tTaseric The "enforcement" issue is astonishingly overblown. Also, you need the license to watch non-BBC channels but the license-fee also covers the maintaining and upkeep of Freeview services so those non-BBC channels can even be broadcast.
-
Simon_Lucy (@Simon_Lucy) reported@stephenashman13 @RevRichardColes @SteveBreave If you don't consume over the air broadcasts then you don't have to pay for it. That includes Freeview, FreeSat. You could watch maybe 60% online (a guess), but it would be a pretty horrible experience.
-
Paddy (@pjtobin00) reported@AudsDisease @SkyNews Do you listen to the radio? Or perhaps watch Freeview? The BBC help maintain the Freeview network.
-
Jez Parton (@JezParton) reported@mitchyj_ @sophielouisecc No it's not. It provides far more than ITV, for example. What funds the Freeview +transmission network (which many pensioners use to access TV). That's right, the BBC licence fee.
-
67MJR (@MagnusBiker1) reported@zsk You'd get **** loads more on Freeview or FreeSat for.... free.
-
Gus (@Gus_preston) reported@BillboBilleric1 @alr6872 @mrdanwalker You consume nothing at all that is funded from the BBC? Never watch or listen to them Never use their websites Never use broadband Don't use Freeview or Freesat. But even if true, yes I do, as a society we all have to fund things we don't use directly.
