@PayneB44 @tomhfh @BBC Your point was you want a break from it. There’s 1000s of channels, Freeview, YouTube, Sky, NOWTV, Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, BRITBOX DVDs, Blu-rays. Boxsets. There’s never been so much content to take your mind off it. Or just turn the telly off.

@virginmedia once again trying to contact virgin media is a no go a proper waste of time contract has run out trying to cancel they have put the money up to £60 a month for basically 2 freeview boxes I have cancelled my direct debit which is due on the 7 april what a scam😡

@f1redfive Hi Alex. Are all your Freeview channels off? I put Ch4 on 2.10pm to watch Countdown 🕛 & every channel No Signal ! so, tried switching TV off & on mains.. No Signal. Then got Freeview pocket TV out.. No Signal ! Luckily old Sky box in bedroom still shows free channels

@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

Over 3 hrs I've spent trying to figure out why the Freeview side of my BT box lost all the channels with no signal. Stripped wires removed plugs...checked other TVs ...only to finally find out the local transmitter is on 🔥.. not happy.....bedtime.....😠😠

@Dean0076103703 @GaryLineker No, sorry, you're lying. The BBC funds two of the six multiplexes that deliver Freeview and Freesat content nationally. If you scrapped the licence fee, you'd have to fund that from somewhere else. If you don't understand the issue, it's best to reserve judgement.

@itvcalendar @ITV Wow! TV transmitters don't usually catch fire. The structure is metal, so it will be the equipment at the foot of the mast that's will be the problem. It will mean no Freeview for the area it serves.

Hi @JohnLewisRetail - my mum has been without her broken freeview box since the end of June and no update. It’s with the manufacturer apparently. But her statutory rights mean she’s entitled to a replacement/ refund and her contract is with you. Really poor service.
