So @HSBC_UK sent me a letter about an account I believed was closed; Can't sort via Online Help as the bot is useless Can't do over the phone as I don't have the number the automated voice needs Can't do in branch* as both Chorley and Leyland are closed *nearest is Preston

@HSBC_UK @DanHamilton97 Inaccurate. Your app is the only one that doesn’t work out of *hundreds* I have installed. Now it’s perfectly understandable that things don’t work but your message seems to indicate it’s Apple’s fault and that only Apple can fix it. This is not true - the ball is in your court.

@HSBC_UK @mariusfanu The HSBC app is literally the only app on my phone (out of around 100) which does not work. Every other banking app (I have a number of them) is working 100%. HSBC's developers are clearly way behind all the others in not keeping their app in step with current iOS standards!

@HSBC_UK Margie, you've got bigger problems. One of our reasons for ringing HSBC is that the Bank has retained on our records an email address we last used over twenty years ago. That sounds like a potentially serious security problem to me.
