  if a public service broadcaster has to participate in a ‘market’, then all a commercial broadcaster has to do is produce better content. ITV doesn’t. Netflix doesn’t. that shouldn’t be made the BBC’s problem.

  @Louisam78 @frankie_mclean @AVSTTR @scotgov @hearinglossSCO @Stagetext @NRCPD @Daily_Record The bbc subcontracts their live subtitling to RedBeeMedia all of their long serving stenos redundant 18 months ago. I went a few years earlier as quality was moving down the strategy. Interestingly itv have brought back stenos to cover their day time programming for quality.

I said "oh well, it's just a game." she said, "I hate working on this show. it brings out the worst in people.." show was cancelled shortly after..
