Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Newtownabbey and nearby locations:

  • nigelivy Nigel Ivy (@nigelivy) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

@jasonsloan46 @virginmedia Landed up cancelling and going with Plusnet. I'm so over paying premium prices for subpar customer service & their product is so unreliable.

  • PaulReid74 Paul Reid (@PaulReid74) reported from Dundonald, Northern Ireland

@Paul__Buckle @DannyCowanVO @bt_uk @Plusnet I've been with Plusnet for several years now too, never had an issue (touch wood)... only issue was @BTCare refusing to believe that I had actually left them, and sending me emails threatening to cut me off, and telling me I owed them money for a service I was no longer getting.

  • cattt82 Cat Taylor (@cattt82) reported from Jordanstown, Northern Ireland

@nornirishfella Plusnet are woeful. My mum was with them until a few months ago, hated her WiFi. We were with sky but we maxed out at 35-40 most of the time, nothing they could do to make it faster. But only got Virgin in when we upgraded to a 65” TV & buffering became an issue.

  • PaulReid74 Paul Reid (@PaulReid74) reported from Dundonald, Northern Ireland

@DannyCowanVO @Paul__Buckle @bt_uk @Plusnet @BTCare My advice... as soon as you leave BT, cancel your direct debit.

  • gemmacaddell86 Gem (@gemmacaddell86) reported from Castlereagh, Northern Ireland

  • ThinkingBlue Zos (@ThinkingBlue) reported from Antrim and Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland

@Plusnet I don't know how many more calls I can make that go unanswered. How many more times in a day my router needs reset. I'm paying for internet that doesn't work nor help that never comes

  • internetsense Philip I Wilson (@internetsense) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

@Back_Two_Mee @Complyorcry Sounds wild. I go low low on all these things. Cancel ❌ them, move them. Talktalk or Plusnet (Plusnet is BT) use Now tv rather than Sky Sports etc etc

  • itconor itconor (@itconor) reported from Comber, Northern Ireland

@internetsense @seatzie @virginmedia Plusnet last I checked where just BT, they also have a habit of putting customers behind CGNAT which means no public IP bad for gaming etc

@Plusnet youve just switched off b/band to my 80yo mother 9 days before we agreed. Now no internet, limited tv etc. Not acceptable & poor customer service!

  • itsannettec Annette Corbett 🎃👻 (@itsannettec) reported

We're now left with no broadband or landline. Mobile reception here is crap. My plusnet router is in storage miles away. I work from home and have client meetings tomorrow. Getting very sick of their hold music now... 2/2

@Plusnet have managed to cancel my mum's #BT services when I moved in despite 3 calls from me trying to stop them cos they were just supposed to put my account on pause for 3 months. Their customer service people might be lovely, but I guess they're not particularly competent 1/2

  • fishouthebox Melissa Fisher (@fishouthebox) reported

Oh dear...a bit worried that the latest case says 6 weeks until we have internet with PlusNet! I'm going to need to find a temporary solution. Any ideas? Some sort of dongle/router/mobile hotspot?

  • cecilyspelling Cecily Spelling (@cecilyspelling) reported

@Plusnet can you help please? My sim card has stopped working abroad. I took it out to use a local one, but need it to make an urgent call back home and now I seem to have no signal at all. I can't make any calls so can you help here please? Thanks!

  • RandomStuff1963 Bits N Bobs (@RandomStuff1963) reported

@Plusnet Appalling service after my landline has been cut off. You have charged me £2.50 to have calls diverted to my mobile, yet this should be free until you have mended my landline. I am 84 and should be a priority customer.
