Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Belfast and nearby locations:

  • internetsense Philip I Wilson (@internetsense) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

@Back_Two_Mee @Complyorcry Sounds wild. I go low low on all these things. Cancel ❌ them, move them. Talktalk or Plusnet (Plusnet is BT) use Now tv rather than Sky Sports etc etc

  • itconor itconor (@itconor) reported from Comber, Northern Ireland

@internetsense @seatzie @virginmedia Plusnet last I checked where just BT, they also have a habit of putting customers behind CGNAT which means no public IP bad for gaming etc

  • cattt82 Cat Taylor (@cattt82) reported from Jordanstown, Northern Ireland

@nornirishfella Plusnet are woeful. My mum was with them until a few months ago, hated her WiFi. We were with sky but we maxed out at 35-40 most of the time, nothing they could do to make it faster. But only got Virgin in when we upgraded to a 65” TV & buffering became an issue.

  • inkedcaribbean inkedup_britishjamaican (@inkedcaribbean) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

@Plusnet please improve your customer service

  • nigelivy Nigel Ivy (@nigelivy) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

@jasonsloan46 @virginmedia Landed up cancelling and going with Plusnet. I'm so over paying premium prices for subpar customer service & their product is so unreliable.

  • ThinkingBlue Zos (@ThinkingBlue) reported from Antrim and Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland

@Plusnet I don't know how many more calls I can make that go unanswered. How many more times in a day my router needs reset. I'm paying for internet that doesn't work nor help that never comes

  • PaulReid74 Paul Reid (@PaulReid74) reported from Dundonald, Northern Ireland

@DannyCowanVO @Paul__Buckle @bt_uk @Plusnet @BTCare My advice... as soon as you leave BT, cancel your direct debit.

  • StripeyMiata Jonathan McCormack (@StripeyMiata) reported from Lisburn, Northern Ireland

@Cruzetavia @TalkTalk @Plusnet Heard that before, but apparently the FTTP support is UK based and not outsourced.

  • PaulReid74 Paul Reid (@PaulReid74) reported from Dundonald, Northern Ireland

@Paul__Buckle @DannyCowanVO @bt_uk @Plusnet I've been with Plusnet for several years now too, never had an issue (touch wood)... only issue was @BTCare refusing to believe that I had actually left them, and sending me emails threatening to cut me off, and telling me I owed them money for a service I was no longer getting.

  • PatrickMBelfast Patrick (@PatrickMBelfast) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

@Plusnet Hi. I seem to be having more and more problems connecting to my Wi-Fi in the Attic. Is there something you or I can do to improve my signal up there? I keep hearing about Wi-Fi extenders. Can you provide me with one?

  • gemmacaddell86 Gem (@gemmacaddell86) reported from Castlereagh, Northern Ireland

Saturday night to enjoy tv with willow not here and plusnet not working, awesome

@Plusnet is there an issue in Berkshire area? Myself and family on plusnet both having problems

  • TeaKayB Tom⇒maths AMIMA (@TeaKayB) reported from Milton Keynes, England

As @Plusnet is down again (that very much won't do) we're rediscovering the magic of DVDs this evening. I do hope they figure it out by tomorrow. I have a LOT of work to do.

  • Plusnet Plusnet (@Plusnet) reported

@slave2gadgets I'm sorry to hear that a password reset hasn't resolved the issue. As it's working over webmail, there's very little that we can do here, I'm afraid, as Outlook is a third party application. Regards, Emily Plusnet Leeds 🌞

  • Krash14006657 Krash (@Krash14006657) reported

@Plusnet rental, not committing to the agreed contact, keeping me on hold for hours at time ... I could go on. For a company who is customer focused, I have never had the misfortune of working with such a shoddy utility company!

  • SpaceMonkey351 Mark (@SpaceMonkey351) reported

@Plusnet why would my Internet go down for no good reason? Its been connected for over a year with no issues. I have a constant orange light and the orange "b" keeps going on and off.

  • slave2gadgets Pete G (@slave2gadgets) reported

@Plusnet Tried that. No good, though webmail is slowly working. Your tech support said outlook was nothing to do with you. It worked before this, now doesn’t. Settings all correct. Can’t work without outlook. I will have to look for a broadband provider that offers decent email support.

  • GeekByteUK Geekbyte 🧙 (@GeekByteUK) reported

@JimmyGriffiths6 @Plusnet 68mb/s down & 18mb/s up. (Your speeds may vary) I use a BT Hub rather than the Plusnet Hub as I get better Wifi range.

  • WelshLFCWarrior David Richards 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (@WelshLFCWarrior) reported

@HelloFromMarcus @Plusnet I avoided them once based in customer reviews. Once bitten, twice shy

  • obliquitywrites 🚥🚥Obliquity(Fairy)Lights 🚥🚥 (@obliquitywrites) reported

@Plusnet It's actually working now, thanks. If there was no planned outage last night, then something must have just glitched.

  • Parlez_me_nTory @Parlez_me_nTory (@Parlez_me_nTory) reported

@BlossomxCat That's what I'm leaving, supplied by PlusNet supposed to 65M/bs never once got above 35 and usually circa 28
