Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Kirkintilloch and nearby locations:

  • RossLogan_89 Ross Logan (@RossLogan_89) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@thomoboy30 @SkySports Started on the coronas early the day stupid arse aye

  • KeeganLost Andrew Keegan (@KeeganLost) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@SkyHelpTeam boy our internet is so bad that it took me literally six minutes to tweet this!

  • scottyoung16 Scott Young (@scottyoung16) reported from Paisley, Scotland

Currently trying to work from home and @SkyHelpTeam broadband has been down since the weekend. Called and they said there’s no known issues, yet the issue I have is I STILL can’t get connected. A switch to @virginmedia might be in order

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

@67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports Theres no great option. In a fair world we would not sell tickets till fans are allowed back in and put our games on at 5 quid PPV. Unfortunately this would mean a fire sale on players. This appears to be the best of many bad options.

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

@67seann @gasreggal @liviman71 @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports Thats what id do if it was my decision but we have to accept that if we go down this route our team on the park will be considerably weakened and some staff at Celtic Park will lose their jobs. Its not an easy decision. Celtic are more reliant on gate income than most clubs.

  • gaylem1978 Gayle Fitzpatrick (@gaylem1978) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@SkyHelpTeam terrible broadband internet service for the last week in G41 area of Glasgow. Internet has been in / out several times a day. Please advise. My husband and I both are working from home & require a stable, high speed connection we can rely on & indeed we pay for!

  • BigRangersBear 𝕽𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝕭𝖊𝖆𝖗 (@BigRangersBear) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

Seems @skytv are just taking random amounts from my bank now. I'm paying almost the same this month as normal despite them not supposed to be charging for @SkySports Time to cancel it.

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

@HughesStephrn @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports I don't think its value for money but given the circumstances im going to renew. Nobody is forcing anyone to pay for this. Everyone can make up their own minds. From the clubs perspective if you chargex 5 quid a game rather than 30 youd never get 6 times as many people sign up

  • HughesStephrn Stephen (@HughesStephrn) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@Hughes_Lives_On @ryan011586 @Kevod1967 @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports Another solution I don’t think too many people would be unhappy with. That would provide the club with the money they need for this season and would be fairer to supporters.

  • gaylem1978 Gayle Fitzpatrick (@gaylem1978) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@SkyHelpTeam Have tried a number of suggestions already, but the same connection issues still occur. Given the issues that have disturbed my husband and I quite substantially this week while working from home, we’d also be looking for reimbursement of broadband fees equating to the week past.

  • Angie24889 Angie⚽️CFC⚽️MCFC⚽️ (@Angie24889) reported from Clydebank, Scotland

@SkyHelpTeam broadband is down in Clydebank,West Dunbartonshire. We’ve tried turn off the box, resetting it.

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

    @HughesStephrn @gasreggal @liviman71 @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports I never thought i was arguing with anyone to be honest.

  • BobPollock1 Bob Pollock (@BobPollock1) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@SkySports I think it’s more about finding a solution to the fact that Hearts were absolutely pants and going down anyway.

  • HughesStephrn Stephen (@HughesStephrn) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@gasreggal @liviman71 @Kevod1967 @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports The problem with that Angela is how many people can easily afford... the vast majority of people with season books make sacrifices for it. The cost of my season book is circa £30 a game. If the club say it’s like for like then I’ll be paying that to watch a home game in my house

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

@HughesStephrn @gasreggal @liviman71 @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports I'm not happy about it but understand why we are going down this route and have renewed to a. Keep my seat and b. Hopefully be back in the stadium at some point this season. Understand others wont renew and it doesnt make them any less of a fan.

  • gaylem1978 Gayle Fitzpatrick (@gaylem1978) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@SkyHelpTeam I tried to contact you re intermittent issues with broadband which have now been for the last fortnight. Your website is of no assistance. I need to *speak* with a human whom I can interact with....not a drop down list which doesn’t apply to me.

  • CraigCorse Craig Corse (@CraigCorse) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

Hi @SkyHelpTeam, please explain how I can go online to fix a non-existent broadband connection, without any opportunity to speak to an operator. Think that one though...

  • BigRangersBear 𝕽𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝕭𝖊𝖆𝖗 (@BigRangersBear) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

@hunter_19851 @skytv @SkySports @virginmedia The terms of your contract have changed. Your paying for a service you're no longer recieveing.

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

@HughesStephrn @ryan011586 @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports We have two options. Maximise revenues and hope enough overpay out of a sense of wanting to help the club. Price things fairly and see the club massively downsize and a lot of employees lose their jobs and good players be sold. Neither option is good.

  • Kevod1967 Kevin (@Kevod1967) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland

@AnnmarieColvan @67seann @CelticFC @spfl @SkySports Yeah it sucks. Guess you need to decide whether keeping that seat is worth the money or not. I feel your pain as ive two tickets to pay for as well.

@SkyHelpTeam I am currently contemplating whether to renew my just expired broadband contract by 17 January - it is not going well... update on the problem would be good.

  • Jenlavinia Jen Cooper (@Jenlavinia) reported

@SkyHelpTeam @SkyHelpTeam Sky Internet has been awful throughout the last 10 months. Prices have rocketed, service has diminished. Roll on the 7th Jan when I switch to BT and Now TV 👍

  • BigRangersBear 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐫 (@BigRangersBear) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

@GitGrumpygit @SkyUK Been **** all day. Usual crap from Sky and they blame the weather as they've always done even back when I worked for them nearly 20 years ago.

  • pauledalton pauledalton (@pauledalton) reported

@SkyUK @SkyHelpTeam my Sky broadband has been down for 3 hours. Seems others are experiencing the same. Fixed soon?

  • ia_webb Webby (@ia_webb) reported

@martynstorey @nicurro @SkyHelpTeam Probably trying to freeze out all the iptv customers. In the process took their whole network out. Either that or there's just that many people not paying for sky any more.

  • ecfc32 Keiran (@ecfc32) reported

@DjHerts @SkyHelpTeam Same down here in Devon.

  • GomezTheBrave Gomez🎄 (@GomezTheBrave) reported

@handzia @SkyHelpTeam It's the same for me when I do a Broadband Status Check from their site. It ALWAYS says the exact same thing, no matter how broken the net is. No issues, 70mbs downloads. It's obviously a little video they play, and not an actual broadband check. Joke of a company @SkyHelpTeam

  • eerinkellyy ♡Erin Kelly♡ (@eerinkellyy) reported

@SkySports sack the darts camera director! Poor work

  • TrainyUK TrainyUK (@TrainyUK) reported

@JasonUtting @SkyHelpTeam For some people internet is working but there are DNS issues

  • giffbean Giffbean (@giffbean) reported

@SkyHelpTeam @SkyHelpTeam can we get a status update please. Do you have a leadtime to resolution? This seems to be a national issue so I assume you have DR processes and can reroute your traffic via secondary nodes. Please advise
