  • EmmaOrca1971
Em J Hamilton (@EmmaOrca1971) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia yet again more connectivity/TiVo issues in the EX4 area. Not great when working from home and you can’t access your important meetings. How about reducing our bills as we’re not getting the 24/7 service we’re paying for.

  • jasyboy71
Jasyboy71 (@jasyboy71) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia it will only affect my credit score if you let it - you can stop that from happening by writing off any further charges to compensate me for the appalling service, for myaccount registration not working and for your agent refusing to let me speak to a manager

  • MattCampbellPhD
Matt Campbell (@MattCampbellPhD) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia Contact them later today to run through the troubleshooting tips before they will send an engineer to fix the issue. Even though it's same issue as been having for weeks which has already been ”fixed” once.

  • EmmaOrca1971
Em J Hamilton (@EmmaOrca1971) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia Issues with TV in EX4 area. Losing signal every few seconds. WiFi keeps going off, not good when working from home. And I get to pay over £110 a month for this!

  • pbandapple
Charlie Garnham (@pbandapple) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia It’s wi fi. My old dongle stopped picking any signal up so brought a new one. Will try the troubleshooting

  • MElcoate
Martin Elcoate (@MElcoate) reported from Topsham, England

@virginmedia Well that’s pretty meaningless. Broadband down in Exeter & other parts of Devon. When is service expected to be restored? Why haven’t you put a message on your website? This is impacting my ability to work at home.

  • nuggyleach
Amanda Leach (@nuggyleach) reported from Exeter District, England

@Peter_Follett @virginmedia Try TalkTalk. I left a Virgin £80 per month 'Faster Fibre' TV + phone package in December. Connection always dropping..Had no problems with our internet since and now pay £35 capped for 24 mths! Plus their live chat is much quicker than trying to get hold of Virgin!

  • MElcoate
Martin Elcoate (@MElcoate) reported from Topsham, England

@virginmedia Hi. Following up the comment above. I have heard nothing from the team. Your complaint handling process is broken.

  • MattCampbellPhD
Matt Campbell (@MattCampbellPhD) reported from Exeter District, England

@DrGBuckingham @virginmedia Combination of sporadic wired service and Wi-fi dropouts all day on top of an ongoing issue with the service coming into the house.

  • Bingamin
PMo (@Bingamin) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia These are highlights of the day's events. @eurosport channel are awful for not showing what their schedule says. Always hit and miss that it will be what it says.

  • chrisgower
Chris Gower (@chrisgower) reported from Exeter District, England

@LauraRiceli I'm exactly the same. I ceremonially watch some terrestrial telly because I'm paying for it, @virginmedia won't let me cancel the telly as its part of my package. But we still have to pay a license fee because government reasons.

  • Alydinsdale
Aly Howard (@Alydinsdale) reported from Countess Wear, England

@virginmedia no broadband for 18 hours and told won't be fixed until 12.9.19 refund for loss of service #Exeter

@CllrEmmaMorse @virginmedia @bt_uk @SkyUK @VodafoneUK @BenPBradshaw Amazing how we are living in this “Digital Age” and yet there are these “Connectivity Black Spots” within the city 🙄 Amazing and disappointing the private companies don’t want to help/get more customers 😕 @BenPBradshaw works so hard for Exeter, lobbying away on everything!😊👍

  • kathytomlinson_
Kathy Tomlinson (@kathytomlinson_) reported from Newton Poppleford and Harpford, England

@virginmedia I was given a complaint number on Thursday night and was told I would receive a call back within 24 hours but I haven't heard anything

  • MattCampbellPhD
Matt Campbell (@MattCampbellPhD) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia The reason they want me to call back is because their system was down!! They won't send an engineer without running through steps that I've already run without them.

  • billy8179
Billy Bingham (@billy8179) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia this was never funny, now a further 12 minutes in the queue listening to what ever this music is!! Still waiting #CustomerService #joke

  • ScottPalfrey
Scott Palfrey (@ScottPalfrey) reported from Exeter District, England

Working from home is even more of a challenge when @virginmedia cuts in and out and is as slow as a snail! Gahhhhh

  • jdcecfc
justin courtney (@jdcecfc) reported from Exeter District, England

@virginmedia such poor staff in the call centre, seemed very smug and happy not to help a customer of over 30 years, eurobell, telewest then virgin, total loyalty and no respect from your staff. Looks like we shal be going to sky after all these years. Pathetic

@virginmedia I spent 25 minutes on the phone to your unhelpful customer service desk yesterday....

  • AngMacca
    AngMacca (@AngMacca) reported

@virginmedia hi, our internet has been intermittent since 30th May (ML2), with resolution dates moving back repeatedly. Can you advise on a ACTUAL date from which we will resume 100% service?

  • IsTheTruthToxic
    Face palm Vengance (@IsTheTruthToxic) reported

@virginmedia Yes it does and it’s a bad system. Your tortuous phone tree system makes talking to the right people very difficult, having to phone for the best deal instead of being offered it by daily is predatory and unnecessary, you know the problems so fix them

  • chinoalemano
    ChinoAleman (@chinoalemano) reported

Everyone's focused on $AMPG's US story. And fair enough, they're expanding fast across America. The only American 64T64R AI-RAN radio, deployed at Telus, a Strategic Partner in the DoD-funded Open6G hub next to $NVDA and $QCOM, and the CEO just said new major carriers may go straight to POs next quarter. The US story alone is plenty. But here's what almost nobody is connecting: it was never going to stop at America. On the last earnings call, CEO Fawad Maqbool pointed somewhere else entirely: "Our success being the largest O-RAN deployment in America is helping us reach out and reach further into Europe and other areas of the world". That's the strategy in one sentence. Win the flagship at home, then use that credibility as a passport into other markets. And it isn't just talk. The groundwork is already there. Receipt 1, the concrete one: AMPG signed a 5-year supplier agreement with Fujitsu Spain back in October 2024, explicitly expanding its reach across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. So when the CEO says "Europe," there's already a signed, multi-year channel underneath the words. Receipt 2 is hiding in plain sight: the United Kingdom. Look at AmpliTech's customer wall and you'll find Digital Catapult. Most people scroll right past it. But Digital Catapult isn't a random logo. It's a UK government-backed innovation organization, funded through Innovate UK and DSIT (the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology). And it runs SONIC Labs, the country's flagship Open RAN testing facility. Here's where AMPG enters. Its 64T64R Massive MIMO radio was tested at the O-RAN Global PlugFest in London, hosted at SONIC Labs, with HTC's G-REIGN providing the DU/CU stack and AmpliTech bringing the radio. The only American radio in the room, validated inside a UK government-funded laboratory. Now the part that makes it interesting. Who advises SONIC Labs? All four of Britain's major operators: EE/BT, Three, Virgin Media O2 and Vodafone UK. They sit on its advisory board, shaping what they need from Open RAN vendors and acting as potential future buyers of the vendors who pass through. So picture it. AMPG's radio validated in a government-backed UK lab, whose advisory board is a who's-who of every major British carrier. The entire UK Open RAN buying ecosystem, in one room, watching the only American radio perform. Now let me be completely honest, because that's the only way this is worth anything. There is no signed UK contract. The British operators advise SONIC Labs, they do not own it, and they haven't bought anything from AMPG yet. This was a product-validation milestone, not a revenue event. Anyone telling you the UK government or a British carrier is about to hand AMPG a deal is getting ahead of the facts. A foot in the door is not a sale. But here's why it matters AMPG keeps showing up in exactly the rooms that matter. The US DoD-funded Open6G hub. The O-RAN Global PlugFest as the only American 64T64R radio to pass. A signed channel into Europe via Fujitsu Spain. And now a UK government-backed lab advised by every major British operator. And the CEO saying they'll expand to Europe. That's the pattern. The same playbook, repeated across the Western world: get the only American radio validated, get it in front of the buyers, and let the sovereignty tailwind do the rest. One market at a time. This isn't a company waiting to be discovered. It's methodically getting itself in front of every major Open RAN buyer in the US and Europe, one validation at a time. The contracts are the next step, not the first one. A foot in the door isn't a deal. But you never get the deal without it first. And AMPG's foot is now in a lot of very important doors. Still sub-$1B while all of this quietly compounds. Not financial advice. I'm long $AMPG. DYOR. 📡
