  • Cuttsrich rich cutts (@Cuttsrich) reported from Tyldesley, England

Its been a pain in the *** with broadband down all day working from home. But now no Joy of Painting with Bob Ross! It's not the despair that gets me down, it's the hope #virginmedia

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Yeah, I've done all that (I'm a techy) it's why it's in modem mode and replaced with a capable router. The issue isnt the equipment it's the connection. Without the hub3 I can run upto 900Mbps download and 240mbps upload.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Considering my router is a 1gbps it shouldn't be an issue. However even with wired it'll vary between 15mbps and 110mbps. However our average over a month is 53.6mbps, which is less than half the speed we pay for 😳.

  • DougHall18 Doug Hall (@DougHall18) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia The worst possible service from your disgraceful company TV and broadband down 5 times over Christmas. No explanation, no apologies. Sod the fact that I can't wfh or watch prime time TV. Had enough, I'm leaving.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@johntweedie @frednfrank @virginmedia It may be 30 years old. Strangely, with BT (Cable), Sky (wired), never had issues.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia Now showing estimated "fix" time of 16:00. 21 hours without "service". This. Is. Not. Funny.

  • Libra_Comms Ali Gudgeon 💙 (@Libra_Comms) reported from Preston, England

@virginmedia have come home from work to find my internet is down and remains down. Are there any issues in PR2 9TT?

  • AnneWoolley1 Anne Woolley (@AnneWoolley1) reported from Hindley, England

@virginmedia after having my email hacked and new password not working, you tell me you’ll get back to me in 3 to 5 days!! How is this compatible with modern day communications? Just not good enough!

  • Cuttsrich rich cutts (@Cuttsrich) reported from Tyldesley, England

In 10+ yrs of having #virginmedia this is only second time TV service has been down. The broadband meanwhile is up n down like a dog at the fair

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia That doesn't tell me anything. Just that the engineers ".. are working hard to fix it....." The service has been down since 7 last night. And no idea when it will be fixed. With zero redress after 4 incidents in a little over a week. Poor.

  • Cuttsrich rich cutts (@Cuttsrich) reported from Tyldesley, England

@virginmedia I've woken up to no Internet service at all, again

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@johntweedie @frednfrank I've switched the router to Modem to get the signal to the 2nd floor loft. Allied to the self installed mesh network, that works well. The signal isn't now the issue. Being without services from @virginmedia 3 times in just over a week, is.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia I have your smart hub 3, or as I like to call it the dumb dumb 3000. (It's struggles to broadcast a decent connection around a 2 bed flat, so it's been banished to modem mode. (Honestly, it's the worst router ive ever dealt with) 😳

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia If does now. 12:00. That's 17 hours without service.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia @JTCHANGINGBIZ Whilst they provide a marginally better speeds than competitors their customer service is just non existent, until you say you're leaving..

  • shanereeves1982 shane reeves (@shanereeves1982) reported from Wigan, England

@virginmedia Must be some issue been off since about 10 am but yet internet not affected

  • PIL0TPEDR0 Pete Best (Pil0t Pedr0)💙 (@PIL0TPEDR0) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia BL1 2NJ Still having problems with disconnecting and connecting, been like this for 4 hours. I have reset my router numerous times

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia LS, I have and do regularly when ever it seems slow. It varies from 12mbps download to a maximum of 110mbps. However the monthly average is under 60mbps. Which falls well short of my guaranteed speed.

  • PIL0TPEDR0 Pete Best (Pil0t Pedr0)💙 (@PIL0TPEDR0) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia How long before the Internet problem is sorted out in the BL1 area going to take?

@virginmedia Just need a retest on the system.. We have this horid splitter thing that the engineer installed last year that I have to keep powering off and on but signal for TV seems very weak

  • HaresFurGlaze BeeCherry (@HaresFurGlaze) reported

@virginmedia We've resolved it but we're going to reconsider whether Virgin is the supplier we want to use for him as your response, for a company of your size, was poor.

  • fakirbhai_nadia Nads🦋 (@fakirbhai_nadia) reported

@virginmedia (continued) · £25 per visit and only paid me for one on my next bill. @richardbranson you know how to count youre a billionaire surely you know how to credit a customer account accordingly to your own policy.

  • Pilpoh Phil Lewis (@Pilpoh) reported

@virginmedia just been on the phone with your pre-installation team. After explaining that the engineers failed to turn up 17 days in a row even know we were told they would be with us each day, after 30mins on hold they hung up. Shockingly bad customer service.

  • fxckVARx2 🦍 (@fxckVARx2) reported

@virginmedia your wifi is absolutely ******* terrible sometimes. Upgraded the speed of my wifi and use wifi 6 routers and your wifi just switches off randomly. I’m trying to play some Nuk3towk 24/7 and it switches off for fun. SORT IT OUT

  • Brasfort49 Julian Armstrong (@Brasfort49) reported

@virginmedia Thank you. I am sure your colleagues will be doing just that. What long-suffering customers are left with is the feeling of a company which allows its kit to degrade to the point where it breaks down and then spends effort to repair it. Anticipation/timely replacement it ain’t
