  • 1AnneMcCormack
Anne McCormack (@1AnneMcCormack) reported from Billinge Chapel End, England

@virginmedia I tell them to ring 999 or 0151 709 6010 if they want to report a crime. They hang up but they sound South Asian and their English is poor. I worry about other oaps being conned. Good luck chasing them.

  • Cuttsrich
rich cutts (@Cuttsrich) reported from Tyldesley, England

In 10+ yrs of having #virginmedia this is only second time TV service has been down. The broadband meanwhile is up n down like a dog at the fair

  • LawAspi
TheAspiLawStudent #NoReturns (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@nerdscav @the_hinchy @virginmedia Yes because a WiFi extender will fix the issue when it's the incoming line and not the hardware 😳. The routers gives a 3ping and 1GBps connection. The issue is virgin's crappy network 👍

  • tuite_liz
Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia 2/2 who can I speak to as it was working fine on Friday until the issues that were nothing to do with me happened, so don’t see why I should now pay for a technician

  • Baxy2001
Baxy (@Baxy2001) reported from Wigan, England

@virginmedia please can you explain why I have been in a queue to speak to someone for over 35 minutes to try and cancel my contract? Absolute joke of a company, poor services and poor customer service.

  • anthony_murphy1
Anthony Murphy (@anthony_murphy1) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia is there a way for me to find out if my phone number has been leaked or involved in any form of data breach as I've been getting daily phone calls from people pretending to be you? Never anyone else so just intrigued.

  • mgsevs
sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia @Piethagoram How about maintaining free roaming charges then seeing as you've hiked the cost of using your service

  • BooCavapoo
BooCavapoo 🐶 (@BooCavapoo) reported from Penwortham, England

@virginmedia No, that's not possible as the yoga device does not have wired port. The WiFi just needs sorting out. Its been terrible for weeks @virginmedia

  • LawAspi
TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Considering my router is a 1gbps it shouldn't be an issue. However even with wired it'll vary between 15mbps and 110mbps. However our average over a month is 53.6mbps, which is less than half the speed we pay for 😳.

  • fos100
Richard Foster (@fos100) reported from New Longton, England

@virginmedia It’s an ongoing issue and an engineer is due out on Thursday but today the internet decided it didn’t want to work on my laptop

  • obpls1995
owen southworth (@obpls1995) reported from Wigan, England

@virginmedia question for you. If I enter a contract with you where you promise X service +items and I promise to pay X amount. If I don't pay X amount am I breaking the contract?

  • obpls1995
owen southworth (@obpls1995) reported from Wigan, England

@virginmedia I do have a problem paying. I'm currently paying for a service where the Internet isn't working half then time. 5 times in the past month we have had no signal. You promise items with your packed Currently received 1/3 and had to complain about that over the phone.

  • wightpie
Wightpie (@wightpie) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia So why then a) does it specify postal and b) not provide a field for mobile number. At best it’s misleading and at worst incompetent

  • 1AnneMcCormack
Anne McCormack (@1AnneMcCormack) reported from Billinge Chapel End, England

@DoctorLemma Well done . Always had great service from @virginmedia just cant afford them anymore.

  • FloButcher84
strange little Flo (@FloButcher84) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia still no broadband in bb3 area since Thurs & update now says tomorrow for fix. Shocking customer service, why can't you tell your customers what is happening instead of saying an engineer is on the way on the updates, at least then we would know what to expect

  • salfordbeerfest
Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@johntweedie @frednfrank I've switched the router to Modem to get the signal to the 2nd floor loft. Allied to the self installed mesh network, that works well. The signal isn't now the issue. Being without services from @virginmedia 3 times in just over a week, is.

  • AnneWoolley1
Anne Woolley (@AnneWoolley1) reported from Hindley, England

@virginmedia after having my email hacked and new password not working, you tell me you’ll get back to me in 3 to 5 days!! How is this compatible with modern day communications? Just not good enough!

  • CarryOnGemma
    CarryOnGemma (@CarryOnGemma) reported

And the two guys who help us get our media up and running don't get a mention because Virgin have not asked us how they did. That'e because they were from another region and it doesn't represent how **** VIRGIN MEDIA is in Scotland.

  • JohnOBrennan2
    John O’Brennan (@JohnOBrennan2) reported

@wattzez @ConorGallaghe_r @IrishTimes That is completely untrue. I was on Virgin Media TV Tuesday talking about the issue. Just before that programme RTE’s Prime Time did a segment. It is being very widely discussed.

Oh my word 02 phone network is the most horrendous experience now since they have merged with Virgin Media. Trying sign into the My 02 app or pay a phone bill is genuinely horrendous😭 Why have I got to resign each time, then put my code in, then check 7 emails and ahhhh

  • breeda_murphy
    Breeda Murphy (@breeda_murphy) reported

@MariaPIreland @longlostfamily @virginmedia Yes Maria. Too many left this world never knowing a sense of belonging, There was no paper trail and DNA had not advanced to provide heritage. Even today it is difficult to gain answers and Government appear eager to ignore

  • sodiumlights
    Sodium (@sodiumlights) reported

@virginmedia What's the phone number for tech support? My hub5 has died (ds scanning) and the online checker has been saying to try again in 4h for the last 24h.

  • juliefount

What an absolute joke @virginmedia are been asking for help for weeks but nothing.

  • j_henderson__
    JHenderson (@j_henderson__) reported

@virginmedia You know, it would be nice if there were some responsibilty taken for the poor customer service rather than some AI generated “ah well sorry about that”. You’re a service provider, and the service is crap.
