Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Penwortham, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Penwortham and nearby locations:

  • wightpie Wightpie (@wightpie) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia So why then a) does it specify postal and b) not provide a field for mobile number. At best it’s misleading and at worst incompetent

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@MeNigeStew I'm with @virginmedia suffering for decent coverage in parts of the house & despite trying a pod (which has yet to work btw) wifi extenders (which fight with the main router) & 2 engineer visits I'm still suffering. Having full TV as well not sure how broadband price breaks down

  • miteamshirts Chrissie Fuller (@miteamshirts) reported from Chorley, England

Re Virgin Media Live TV outage. Internet still working as is Netflix, Amazon Prime and My Recordings. Catch-up/binge day!!

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Yeah, I've done all that (I'm a techy) it's why it's in modem mode and replaced with a capable router. The issue isnt the equipment it's the connection. Without the hub3 I can run upto 900Mbps download and 240mbps upload.

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia Tried them all over 18 months. Short of moving the router, which imo will shift the issue from one room to another, there's not a lot else open to me according to your representatives. We work from home and my wife uses all her mobile data every month as a wifi hotspot

  • Davegas2 David Walton (@Davegas2) reported from Feniscowles, England

@virginmedia When are you going to sort out problem with red button on Sky sports, sometimes on, most times off, ongoing problem.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia LS, I have and do regularly when ever it seems slow. It varies from 12mbps download to a maximum of 110mbps. However the monthly average is under 60mbps. Which falls well short of my guaranteed speed.

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia This help page just walks me through what I've already done, it doesn't show me how to reset the pod

  • stevelthompsom Steve Thompson (@stevelthompsom) reported from Preston, England

@virginmedia new customer trying to register on your media app always comes up with an error code!!!! Not a great start......may cancel if this is how you roll ??

  • Baynesi83 bay (@Baynesi83) reported from Mellor, England

@NadineDorries @virginmedia @O2 Here she is again that glam Nan spouting bollocks that is instantly shot down by ordinary people who seem to actually know facts. She really needs to shut up or just read factual information instead of coming across as an incompetent muppet.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia @JTCHANGINGBIZ Whilst they provide a marginally better speeds than competitors their customer service is just non existent, until you say you're leaving..

  • TheRealRagtag Stephen Murtagh (@TheRealRagtag) reported from Penwortham, England

@virginmedia No email access for 3 days now on the blueyonder access. All I get is "Oops, this page is broken." System says nothing is wrong. Terrible. I have done a check, and it says everything is working correctly on BBand/Telly. ??? Area 01.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia I have your smart hub 3, or as I like to call it the dumb dumb 3000. (It's struggles to broadcast a decent connection around a 2 bed flat, so it's been banished to modem mode. (Honestly, it's the worst router ive ever dealt with) 😳

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia @Piethagoram How about maintaining free roaming charges then seeing as you've hiked the cost of using your service

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Considering my router is a 1gbps it shouldn't be an issue. However even with wired it'll vary between 15mbps and 110mbps. However our average over a month is 53.6mbps, which is less than half the speed we pay for 😳.

  • J_w_D94 LeChonk (@J_w_D94) reported from Horwich, England

@virginmedia Hi, I'm tweeting from the device I'm having connectivity and signal issues with, I've looked on the website and it's not stating if you're having network issues or not.

  • Libra_Comms Ali Gudgeon 💙 (@Libra_Comms) reported from Preston, England

@virginmedia No need to 8 days till my notice period is up can't be wasting hours on calls. Especially when u were given 5 months to sort out the problem & did nothing.

  • lynn_WWTC Lynn (@lynn_WWTC) reported

@virginmedia They have booked for tomorrow evening, as I say been left with no service which is concerning enough, but for your staff to cut customers off simply because they can’t fix is unacceptable.

  • AllisonPascoe4 Allison Pascoe (Laws) (@AllisonPascoe4) reported

@virginmedia I wish to make a complaint which has now been on goin for over a year. Internet is constantly goin off, ive rebooted, turned off, reset etc and still goes off at least 4 times a day. This is not acceptable when I’m paying £53pm for internet only and can’t use it.

  • Wulver_Andy97 Andrew Doyle (@Wulver_Andy97) reported

@virginmedia Yea thst didn't help as just says everything is fine in the area and I'm still experiencing issues and I'm not the only person

  • kikiryan86 kelly (@kikiryan86) reported

@SkyHelpTeam So ive just paid AGAIN! as the sky is saying you are having technical issues? The money has been withdrawn from my bank AGAIN! Yet you can’t get anyone to call me? I can’t wait to cancel my account with you #virginmedia

  • Damien1872 Damien Speirs (@Damien1872) reported from Renfrew, Scotland

@virginmedia Shows no faults and says everything is fine despite having to use 4g at the time to even run the test. There was an engineer out a couple of months back who done a factory reset but was only a temporary fix. Internet goes down several times a day whilst connected to hub.

  • AaronGa61291255 Aaron Gallagher (@AaronGa61291255) reported

@virginmedia about to start a new binge & my equipment has failed again. Hope my equipment fails when engineer here tomorrow so he can fix it & get me back access to the ultra reliable superfast broadband. Ooh, it's back. I could cancel this post but like it being on record.

  • chaz_6 🇪🇺 Chaz6 🇪🇺 (@chaz_6) reported

@virginmedia do you provide data to @teamcymru? As a paying broadband customer, I want to know if you do. #GDPR

  • Kieranzs Kieran (@Kieranzs) reported

@virginmedia I have, they tell me a technician is fixing it locally so my appointment will get canceled when it's fixed. I've actually just had an email saying the problem is fixed, but mine still ISNT. Now your website is saying to monitor for 24 hours before I can book another.

  • Kieranzs Kieran (@Kieranzs) reported

    @virginmedia They're all down
