Edinburgh’s Disgraces (@EdiDisgraces) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandCost of living advice - IF Virgin Media ask for a big price hike tell them you are going elsewhere but will stay for the same price as a new customer would pay. It takes a while but saved £800 (over 18 months) today and will get more for same price/no increase @MoneySavingExp
-
Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia as it was tiresome and he can’t get through to anyone. The same problem I had today. He has his phone, broadband and tv with you. His mobile as well I reckon. Having spent a good bit time today going through all the stuff on the phone to eventually be hung up on is infuriating
-
liam finn (@lfinn777) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Is this in progress? I haven't seen any resolution?
-
Derek Scott (@DegsyScott) reported from Grangemouth, Scotland@benjitindz @virginmedia To be fair, the speed is the best option and I’m on 250mbps whereas the best I’d get on ADSL is 10-34mbps. Agreed, customer service is worse than a RyanAir equivalent
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I managed to find a phone number to call you. The message 'don't contact us unless you need to' isn't great is it! Follow up text asks me to rate VM on the basis of my interaction. Not fair is it. Not the help desk fault if everything else is so bad.
-
victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandI was left without service for a week with multiple lies, promises of calls that didn’t happen and appalling customer service … you promise compensation of a month for free, the next you state £650 for disconnection. We are in a coat of living crisis you idiots! @virginmedia
-
seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@vmbusiness @virginmedia @virginmedianews Why is your service so unreliable? Are we expected to pay for a service that doesn’t work?
-
Viv Haig (@vivhaig) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Yes I’ve done all of that and my phone is saying ‘Check phone line’. My land line has been off since last Friday. Ever since it was swapped over to your fibre network and the new adapter fitted to the back of the router. I’m paying for a service I’m not receiving.
-
Arek Kwapis (@AG_Developer) reported from Falkirk, ScotlandCome on @virginmedia, this is getting ridiculous now. Been without Internet for over 24hrs - ever since yesterday's maintenance at 9am. Still not got my Oomph unlimited data to help ease the pain either and no ETA on fix. This is beyond silly.
-
Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Read my tweet. I have been sent a “resolution” already. Which advised to return the box/speak to online chat if further issues. As I have pointed out multiple times I have already returned the box. This is absolutely infuriating at this point.
-
Wendy Bell (@WendyBe54745206) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia desperate to speak to someone phoned hour later speaking to someone transferred 3 times then wanted a manger on hold then cut me off worst customer service department. Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia it would be a great idea if you could save priority installation slots for those in greatest need, like those with disabilities who need a phone line installed for a telecare service. So they don't have to wait a month. Just a thought.
-
trippfuller (@trippfuller) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia is the worst. Three days of off and on service has cost me significant time and money.

Neil Sneddon (@EdinburghNJS) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandGot to say. Been a customer of @virginmedia since Dec 10th 1999. First problem I've ever had this week, and service, ability to contact and understanding of my problem is absolutely woeful. Luckily still in cooling off period for new deal. Dreadful.
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia If I phone there is a message saying there is a complex fault. The online fault tracker says there isn’t. Hard really to understand what the problem is and when and how it will be fixed. Still no service at all. Not impressed.
-
victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I am on the phone right now and like I’ve said. The service I am receiving is disgusting. 40 minutes call and to be told that in a #CostOfLivingCrisis you want £650+ to disconnect a service. Must’ve been robbers you merged with as this is criminal behaviour.
-
Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia do you actually read formal complaints or are they just automated responses too?! For the second time the response does not answer the complaint at all?

Matty Smithy♿️🇬🇧🇪🇺 (@Matt247821) reported@Jenny_1884 It’s pants, not as good as fibre and expensive as you have to purchase the equipment. The latency sucks. Alright for basic browsing but not gaming or high quality streaming. Virgin media is cheaper and faster

-
Addy (@iadnan9) reported@virginmedia @AlloquiStrix Reported an issue 2 months ago and only just received a response. The advice given was unhelpful, careless, and frankly unprofessional. The issue is still ongoing with Now being told it could take another 28 days for a follow-up. Completely unacceptable and a waste of time.
-
Scott (@scottowen81) reported@sharonmariahall @virginmedia Never had an issue with them
-
Nottinghill Man (@nottinghillman) reported@virginmedia I think this has been reported now but our WiFi at W2 4TJ went down on Wednesday evening. A call out engineer the next the next morning merely confirmed that the problem is apparently on the street, not in our house as the engineer apparently thought initially. But no repair yet
-
Riggers (@dononerigby) reported@virginmedia truly awful customer service stay on hold for an hour then get cut off I pay for services and then don't get them and then you can't get hold of them
