  • thekosfox Karl (@thekosfox) reported from Nuneaton, England

@virginmedia Understandably, I was very annoyed after being on hold for 'god knows' how long to be told yes, the activation cost, £49.95 would be waived as a new customer. Then to be put through to the installation team and told NO!!! the activation cost would stand!!! Bad customer service.

  • gjw1603 Gary Webber (@gjw1603) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Price rises, overseas call centers, the time spent on the phone listening to the nausiating voice. Suggest you look at social media and learn about your shocking reputation and customer service. Im out !!

  • thekosfox Karl (@thekosfox) reported from Nuneaton, England

So, I'm switching from Sky Tv/Broadband to @virginmedia. A friend of mine who is a new customer got multi room with no activation cost. I phone for the offer and the lady said no fee, yayyyy, I go through to another department and its £49 Being fobbed off already!!😡😡 NOT HAPPY!

  • Kal_Ajimal Kal Ajimal (@Kal_Ajimal) reported from Solihull, England

How hard is it to report a problem to my landline telephone @virginmedia totally ridiculous been on hold 30 minutes

  • acroline Caroline Durbin (@acroline) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia Nonsense. If you valued me as a customer I would not have gone through 3 months of unanswered calls and when I did speak to staff- accusations of lying. Check your records before cut and pasting bland replies.

  • notdodgy Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia broadband down again. Obviously a network fault, but system has booked an engineer visit. Given that my contract is up for renewal and the cost has nearly doubled, I think I am in the market for a new provider.

  • unit_1974 🐺Wolfish (@unit_1974) reported from Birmingham, England

@Poxo01 We have been battling rising costs and poor service with @virginmedia for years. Have argued down the contract repeatedly due to issues. Just got the internet and home control stable again and then get another price increase letter. Fed up with them.

  • thekosfox Karl (@thekosfox) reported from Nuneaton, England

@virginmedia Hi, I'm a new customer, installation is this Saturday (24th). Our friends have recently joined you and they were offered multi-room (1 extra box) with no 'set up' costs. So I inquired and was told the same (just £7.50pm) put through to another department and told no, its £49.95.

  • acroline Caroline Durbin (@acroline) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia utterly appalling customer service once again. 15 minutes on hold to cancel a contract miss-sold to me.

  • notdodgy Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia Your website now shows: Network issues might be affecting TV and broadband services at the moment. Our engineer is working to fix the problem. Broadband is working again...

  • thekosfox Karl (@thekosfox) reported from Nuneaton, England

@virginmedia I understand there is an activation fee, when I asked, as a new customer if it could be waiverd and was told yes, I didnt then expect in another department to be told no!! One main reason we are leaving Sky is because of this of inconsistency in customer service. Poor start!

  • unit_1974 🐺Wolfish (@unit_1974) reported from Birmingham, England

@ChrisScottBtn I’m fed up of this process year on year with an ongoing problematic service. Three complaints, two left unanswered. And then the onus is on you to chase! I cannot be bothered with them anymore. That’s the level customer service I’ve come to expect from @virginmedia now.

  • notdodgy Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia Tried the text service. No response. So in the unlikely event of an engineer visit later, at least I tried.

  • scgough §↯mØn (@scgough) reported from Birmingham, England

Anyone else experiencing DNS issues for certain sites. UK based. I’m getting unresolved errors via virgin media net but ok via mobile data. #dns #networking

  • notdodgy Roger Leitch (@notdodgy) reported from Solihull, England

@virginmedia Did you notice the "again". On average it's down 2 days a month.

  • TeeKhan84 Tariq Khan (@TeeKhan84) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia problems with my phone line in B9 Birmingham.

  • unit_1974 🐺Wolfish (@unit_1974) reported from Birmingham, England

@BankerJase @virginmedia I’ve yet to deal with a Virgin Media team that provide decent customer service. Which is why I’ve given up on TV/Telephone. Broadband will only last if they maintain a service.

  • tonymartin82211 tonymartin (@tonymartin82211) reported from Birmingham, England

@virginmedia up to their scams again and when you get through all the button pressing on the phone and are past from one to another then when you start asking questions they hang up .

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • DougGore Douglas Gore (@DougGore) reported

@piofthings @skytv @virginmedia Urgh, that's a very low resolution on the encoding ladder. With the right codec you can deliver watchable 720p with only 0.5 Mbps

  • olegasmic7 Olegasser7 (@olegasmic7) reported

@virginmedia your customer service line is shocking! Waiting on hold for over an hour only to be hung up on constantly. Can you arrange for someone to call me ASAP?! Otherwise I'm cancelling

  • DougGore Douglas Gore (@DougGore) reported

@piofthings @skytv @virginmedia That's just video analytics so they know how well they are performing, it shouldn't impact the service quality. Most likely your connection or the CDN is the issue unless the video player is no good.

  • C_GalvanPaz Carlos E. Galvan Paz (@C_GalvanPaz) reported

UK: Virgin Media O2 uses recycled aggregate for sustainable network expansion. #telecoms

  • devoursnowbank devourer snowbank (@devoursnowbank) reported

@virginmedia sorry for long winded answer so this really needs a manager stepping in some how & taking bull by horns & tackling the issues - while I accept that £300 a month is small fry to virgin - its huge to me

  • johnvasili1 VAS (@johnvasili1) reported from Hertfordshire, England

@virginmedia Unbelievably shockingly bad customer support today. 1hr 25 mins on the phone, spoke to 7 agents and no resolution 2 of your agents were excellent the rest were appaling. As a long standing customer I feel I have no option but to change provider. #virginfail

  • Gemmasaul88 Gemma Ayesha (@Gemmasaul88) reported

@virginmedia I don’t know if it’s their fault but it’s pretty annoying!! We can’t connect to sky at all now!! I’m going to see if the problem is with @skytv now

  • BenMyatt74 Darksider  (@BenMyatt74) reported

@virginmedia with merger with @O2 any plan for #virginmobile to use O2 networ? Have recently moved and EE network useless but nearest transmitter for O2 and if no plans will have to move contracts

  • ashmsmith91 Ashley Smith (@ashmsmith91) reported

@MrFreeze2244 @virginmedia Wowwwww. Hell we only have 400/20 and this is slower than ours lmao it seems as slow as my moms 50/5 jeeeesus

  • mrnigellawrence nigellawrence (@mrnigellawrence) reported

@virginmedia Yes, loss of internet connectivity, now 20 times since 13th May. repeated promises of repair, repeated pus back of dates for repair, 3 promises of manager call back - zero call backs. Trying to work - really hard when internet keeps going down
