  • Andreaeday
Andrea Day (@Andreaeday) reported from Biddulph, England

@virginmedia 2/2 when modem mode was suggest I was just told it “turns off WiFi” - no help on how to fix. VPN is common from domestic WiFi - you should be clear and transparent to customers that you don’t support rather than charging for gadget rescue for something that can’t be fixed.

  • marcalmond7
Marc Almond (@marcalmond7) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@TheHammer180 @virginmedia Best thing to do is give your 30 days notice to cancel and they will call you directly with an offer! Happened to me twice now!

  • mymodlifecrisis
sean cosgrove (@mymodlifecrisis) reported from Congleton, England

So @virginmedia don’t understand my 78 year old deaf father cannot call them. They call me as asked out of the blue and tell me they can’t fix the broadband problem, they WONT send an engineer out and I’m getting upset because I’m not hearing what I want. They got that right x

  • PlumbousSkin
    💻gremlins r us💻 (@PlumbousSkin) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia I experience this problem all the time. Our phones dont connect, our internet randomly drops out, this isnt a new problem. Just a frustrating one. Everytime we 'monitor it for a week then check back' nothing is ever fixed. Its just a bad service in general.

  • shent
Matt (@shent) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia Unfortunately not, I even gave two phone numbers and an email, just want to know if there is an issue local to me or if it’s a network issue, I can deal with downtime but drop outs and high latency really are frustrating, can’t really have another half a day off work...

  • LesChaplin
Les Chaplin (@LesChaplin) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@McGiff @virginmedia I am having exactly the same problem over roaming charges for a country I’ve not been anywhere near a, appalling service and been told tough pay or they take me to court! At my wits end!

  • andyvic7
Andy Picken (@andyvic7) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia just had the misfortune to speak to the rudest person ever whilst trying to sort out my abysmal connection speed when she put the phone down on me after a 20 minute wait!!

  • gingerjames1990
James Hope (@gingerjames1990) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@Ofcom how the hell can @virginmedia seriously refuse to allow customers to raise a complaint??? This is bloody awful!!!!!!! Two calls and both calls refuse to allow me to raise a formal complaint!!! Both call takers clearly in a different country and have issues understanding

  • PlumbousSkin
    💻gremlins r us💻 (@PlumbousSkin) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia Weve had an engineer out, he replaced our router then buggered off. The problems kept happening even with a new router.. its been months of calling & faffing around trying to get this problem fixed & still nothing, its a joke.

  • FowldsSimon
Santa Sime 🎅🏻🎄 (@FowldsSimon) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia why was I not informed of changes to my package. I’ve got the full house package which included kids tv. Name changed to maxit and now no kids Tv. Thank god we have amazon and Netflix which has kids stuff on. Don’t watch either on Virgin as it’s so slow.

  • LesChaplin
Les Chaplin (@LesChaplin) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia I am not stupid I get that! However, the text I received said welcome to Greece you can use your phone exactly the same as if in the uk so I had absolutely no reason to switch roaming off when I never left the resort. I have kept the texts which state exactly that

@virginmedia Why cant someone just ring me so I can actually explain what the problem is. When I try and light in it does not recognize my mothers maiden name and I'm sure I have got that right so then I cant get any further

  • gingerjames1990
James Hope (@gingerjames1990) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@reddersmufc @Ofcom @virginmedia It's awful! I'm sick of calling customer services and getting through to someone who cannot understand basic English language and goes on talking about something else. Then try to speak to three different advisers to raise a simple issue/complaint and they refuse!

  • JuPo71
Julie Podet (@JuPo71) reported from Biddulph, England

@virginmedia very disappointed with your level of service to an elderly disabled customer. Drafting a complaint that will be with your shortly.

  • Tiny_Tog
Tiny Tog (@Tiny_Tog) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia @virginmedia I’m glad it sorted itself out as the customer service woman said id need a new hub which she said she’d order and would arrive Tuesday (6/8/19). Which it hasn’t. I’m glad I didn’t need it #virginmedia

  • andy_dickerson
Andrew Dickerson (@andy_dickerson) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@virginmedia Yes I did and Tuesdays fault was shown and yesterday's wasn't so how about you provide the service I pay for. If this continues I will begin getting quotes from other service providers as I am fed up of dealing with bots and spammers claiming to be from you.

@virginmedia Why do your customer services call me every day when I've told them I'm not interested in taking any more services than I already have. Just today I took a call and told them to stop calling me, no one answered on the other side and then just hung up, how rude !!!.

  • cycleprawn

@Rugby_Scoop @virginmedia Ireland needs to face the facts they’re still rattled since the 2023 WC QF… probably facing the same issues that the head coach has stayed on a fraction too long now and it’s not working. Agreed with Marshy, sort your own issues.

  • TheRealTomPoole
    Tom Poole 🇬🇧✳️ (@TheRealTomPoole) reported

@virginmedia - we're trying to cancel your services since the bill has gone up over £80pm. How do I do this, we need to speak to someone in cancellations but I can only get through to sales?

@virginmedia thank you for offering help via a DM, but you have sent me quite a lot of the exact same messages now - only one was needed. I have already told you that one of your engineers is coming out tomorrow to check everything is okay and get everything working properly. At this point I will only need to contact you if the engineers visit isn’t successful.
