Hi @VodafoneUK why is your debt recovery service hassling my elderly mother to pay £65 when she terminated her account and doesn't owe you anything. She is frantic and has been to her local shop to check. She can't get through on the phone number. Is this a scam? Looks like it.

@VodafoneUK @Uniqetz 'Hey there'? That is not a professional way to talk to people, when they are raising issues with how you talk to bereaved partners of your customers.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot I’m glad I know where never to be a customer.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @AhmedShelbaya Unless they can prove at a process level - aka documented customer service policies handling predictable deceased person scenarios with statistics AND prove no emergent revenue upside / profit from mourning relatives - this may be "by design". If so consider #classaction suit?

@ThreeUK good customer for 12 years after being offered 3 different plans with you to upgrade which are still more expensive than @virginmedia @VodafoneUK it ends up your agents got it wrong, then promised a call back between 11am and 1pm by a manager - I have not had a call

@wolvesboy40 @VodafoneUK @Uniqetz Oh, oh no, it's not a service issue, this is a deliberate tactic used by almost all companies at this point. 🎶 Money money 🎶

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I hope your dad is ok. I think you’ve been through a painful time and it’s a shame that instead of being able to fully comfort your dad and remember the happier times with your late mum that Vodafone did this BS. I worry about older folk that don’t have this kind of support. :(

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot OH PLEASE. We know companies are SO SORRY when their corrupt behaviour is made public on this scale. "Dear Vodafone my xxx relative has passed away, please cancel their contract." THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE END OF IT. Please pass this on to your gangster wannabe CEO #scamartists

Plus the router they sent was smashed up in the box. If you are considering using @VodafoneUK ask for some guarantees. Or probably don’t use them. Signing up for a contract is so easy. But then the problems start. #Vodafonedown

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Whatever ******** happened to Britain? No, what happened to Europe? How did we ever get to this?

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Please Google "non-apology apology". Until you post a link to details of disciplinary action against the manager(s) ultimately responsible for this awful treatment of Monbiot's family (& others) and details of changes you'll make to stop it happening again, this is meaningless.
