@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This doesn’t surprise me at all. My mother died in 2003 and trying to close her BT landline account was a nightmare. The person I spoke to kept saying “we need to speak to the customer”! Finally I went into the BT sales centre saw a charming lady and in 20 minutes I had finished.

No problem in fact I got more than I expected & saved a few quid in the process. I did not expect that. 👍😎

@VodafoneUK all myself, husband an 3 kids on voda, I'm in hospital for 3-5 days, do you do any deals or free same network calls for loyal customers like say 02 do (or did when I was with them for over 15 years? Just don't want my phone to run dry after a few days? Thank you x

@HJMovingFarAway @CostaCoffee @VodafoneUK I have never had an issue with them. Even on calls always had UK based. Although, as we know these days there is little given to brand loyalty. I was expecting them to tell me to do one as I told them what I wanted rather than accepting what they wanted. Yep surprised.

At Star City in Birmingham, outside and can only get 3G. Come on @VodafoneUK , get your 4G network up to scratch before sorting out 5G (particularly as that roll out is slow).

I phoned Vodafone to cancel the contract and they insisted they had to speak with my wife who was no longer with us That’s what you have to deal with in tough times. @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Please don't blame the customer service staff. They are often on minimum wage and pressured to meet unrealistic targets with little training. They are supposed to escalate to managers but many are not even told how to do that as they are thrown in the deep end when starting work.
