@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Same prob w tesco mobile and dad w dementia in care home. They need to speak to him. Sky, gas, BT, elec... everyone else was brilliant. Was told they can't cancel his £7 a month phone contract. I said he won't be paying it any more. They said he will get a ccj. Go for it tesco.

@BMubaru @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK The problem is that some corps don’t have a proper process in place to deal with bereavement. Totally agree that what you’ve said should happen. Sadly, it doesn’t, and it’s not exactly rocket science. I wonder if new high tech companies have never considered customers might die.

@pauld_donnelly @VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Vodafone and BT in the same bag.. when my sister in law died and my husband called BT to cancel the contract, guess what: they had to “talk to her”!! (They finally rectified their position after escalation and had to provide the death certificate).. shocking

@LaurieMcGowan_ @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Yep there’s a couple I could tag here. TV license being one, BT another. They don’t seem to like deceased parents much either. Processes need to change; bereaved family members shouldn’t need to jump through so many administrative hoops when grieving, the process is broken 🥲
