Since then, my VIP Diamond status built up over 23 years has vanished. I just use a different network now with a free SIM and a cash top up each month.

Sounds like Alexander Graham Bell's test call. Not just me, everyone I know on 3 is having similar issues. And we all have phones 2 years old or less.
