Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Whaley Bridge and nearby locations:

  • Ric_Bond Richard Bond (@Ric_Bond) reported from Manchester, England

Clearly the continuing high winds up here is adding to the risk, and if the cable snaps I imagine it creates a very real safety issue for pedestrians - plus of course my service is being disrupted all the while @bt_uk

  • drchrisferguson Dr Chris Ferguson (@drchrisferguson) reported from Manchester, England

Great customer service @bt_uk from Haydn in Warrington. Made dealing with my parents internet problem a breeze

  • iainmc123 Iain McDonald (@iainmc123) reported from Strines, England

@Ofcom Hi @Ofcom, how many times can I complaint. They have missed a 3rd appointment. They just re book them and not turn up. There is nothing I can do as its only @OpenreachHelp who can do it. @bt_uk are useless and the £25 compo doesn't come near the expense of using 35 hours holiday

  • SimonLemons49 Simon Evans (@SimonLemons49) reported from New Mills, England

    ******* @btsport we were promised a celebratory programme... we've had 4 blokes natter for 15 mins... #CHAMPIONS

  • AmosMurphyMedia Amos Murphy (@AmosMurphyMedia) reported from Cheadle Hulme, England

@halbvierUK @btsport As if a 2 month football absence was bad enough, it returns without fans and the only noise we're greeted to is that of McManaman as the co-com! 🤮

  • FotCarrs Friends of the Carrs (@FotCarrs) reported from Wilmslow, England

@mikeberriman87 @prodnose @btsportfootball @SkySportsPL @btsport @TheAthleticUK Same here - after hanging on the phone for 45 mins was told the cancellation charge is over £200 for me @btsport ... they have given me 1 month free though - whoohoo! Sky sport I managed to cancel on line with no problem at all.

  • DidymusBrush Paul Holmes (@DidymusBrush) reported from Manchester, England

@Darth_Vivid @virginmedia @bt_uk @TalkTalk @SkyUK It still doesn't excuse the slowness, the constant drop outs, and the near impossible chance of getting through to customer service.

  • drbexl Dr Bex Lewis #StayHomeSaveLives (@drbexl) reported from Stockport, England

Thankful that @bt_uk have contacted me, know there’s a problem with my internet - and someone’s coming Weds afternoon to sort it (dropping out/slow) - I hope! Engineer may be able to fix outside, but may have to come in - in PPE. V friendly Olga organising on the phone.

  • ciarond27 Ciaron Doherty (@ciarond27) reported from Manchester, England

Will you send me out some WiFi boosters, been awful connection for the last year in my house @bt_uk

  • aspspooner Philip Spooner (@aspspooner) reported from New Mills, England

@bt_uk Hi Clare - ta for the reply - passed all online tests. Had another drop out a couple of hours back though... Seems like we had the same issues yesterday (but I was rarely online, so I didn’t notice....)

  • iainmc123 Iain McDonald (@iainmc123) reported from Strines, England

@bt_uk That's the 3rd missed appointment. @bt_uk and @OpenreachHelp are the worst companies I have ever dealt with. The system is shocking and it's a complete joke that there is nothing I can do as they are the only company who can do it. Shouldn't be allowed.

  • Lbartram Lee Bartram (@Lbartram) reported from Ashton-under-Lyne, England

@peterthepotter @jjhsenior @btsportmotogp @btsportfootball @btsport @sky No point even asking @Virgin .@virginmedia if they are going to do anything to help their customers after the @VirginAtlantic news of last week! #Sky #BT #Virgin

  • iainmc123 Iain McDonald (@iainmc123) reported from New Mills, England

@bt_uk By mini connectors. They don't work. The WiFi in the house isn't too bad, I could watch ufc on my phone but through the bt box it doesn't work.

  • drbexl Dr Bex Lewis #StayHomeSaveLives (@drbexl) reported from Stockport, England

@RachelRenshaw3 @bt_uk It is .. wonder if that’s enough - it’s been quite bad this week. Running off my phone 4G at present ...

  • iainmc123 Iain McDonald (@iainmc123) reported from New Mills, England

@bt_uk @OpenreachHelp So final update. @OpenreachHelp came and I have broadband. But he didn't need a roof team, basically the person who came on the 25th just didn't do it for no reason. So all this stress and wasted holidays was for... Nothing. And my @bt_uk doesn't work as the hub is in the kitchen

  • DidymusBrush Paul Holmes (@DidymusBrush) reported from Manchester, England

@Darth_Vivid @virginmedia @bt_uk @TalkTalk @SkyUK It would be nice to get 100mb once. Never even had half of what we pay for. Wonder what @Offcom make of that...

  • iainmc123 Iain McDonald (@iainmc123) reported from New Mills, England

@bt_uk I've already booked off 3 days work for this. 4 including issues before the 25th. And it will be a 5th day on 10th. I work from home so it's causing me so many issues. Data on my phone almost up, both draughts data already gone. No TV, no ufc, having parents do school runs.

  • Redutd99Rhys OBESE RHYS (@Redutd99Rhys) reported from Stockport, England

@The_Manc_Lad820 @CraigCharles23 What network u with? Ee 3 months btsport app free put on ur console jobs a good one

  • PravPatel_ Prav Patel (@PravPatel_) reported from Manchester, England

@bt_uk are your internet services down in Manchester?

  • DidymusBrush Paul Holmes (@DidymusBrush) reported from Manchester, England

@Darth_Vivid @virginmedia @bt_uk @TalkTalk @SkyUK It would be nice to get 100mb once. Never even had half of what we pay for. Wonder what Ofcom would make of that...

  • phil_payne7 phil payne (@phil_payne7) reported

@bt_uk worst customer service ever!! Phone line broken for a week, promised to fix it by 17/12, now postponed to 21/12. Customer service dept pass me to openreach that is closed, ring bt back and they literally blank me a cut me off. DISGUSTING!

  • hilarymcc7 Hilary McCollum (@hilarymcc7) reported

@bt_uk I think BT should review its dispatch arrangements to ensure equipment arrives well in advance of switchover. It was BT who told plusnet to cut off my service from 15 Dec. If I’d had a say I would have paid for a couple of days overlap rather than be in this mess.

  • kevgillies82 Kev (@kevgillies82) reported

@btsport worst customer service ever experienced. 7 days straight on the phone, over 9 hours of calls and still no one can update my viewing card number

  • deancousin Dean Cousin (@deancousin) reported

@bt_uk hi do you have a customer services department or person I can talk to please?

  • hilarymcc7 Hilary McCollum (@hilarymcc7) reported

@bt_uk Thanks, I appreciate your efforts. There is no detailed tracking information on parcelforce site as it is a redelivery. I’ve managed to track down parcelforce customer service who have advised it will be here between 2.45 and 3.45 today. Best wishes, Hilary

  • DaddyMightyZim MightyZim (@DaddyMightyZim) reported

@bt_uk hey I have call protect but I just got a call from a number previously blocked number ! I think it’s going to be easier for me to cancel my line than put up with the number of scam callers

  • uppytee Uppytee (@uppytee) reported

@EXCEL @bt_uk Damn that Ornn play is nutty. As well as it was played the champion was insane then.

  • deancousin Dean Cousin (@deancousin) reported

Is it just me or is anyone else shocked by the level of customer service by @bt_uk even the person responding to me is Twitter seems passive aggressive....

  • bhavikdepala Bhavik Depala (@bhavikdepala) reported

@bt_uk Nothing. No is returning calls from BT nor are they taking calls - have had to wait 2 hours!!! How can you call that good customer service?

  • TomaszTweets Tomasz (@TomaszTweets) reported

Got fibre-to-the-property installed this week from @BT_uk; happy days! Thought to myself, hey, maybe I’ll upgrade the speed to 300 MBit/s? My price: £59.99 New customer price: £22.49 for three months, then £44.99 Surely this is a pisstake, @BT_uk?
