Melanie Lewis (@melbluenose) reported from Parbold, England@EE Hi David, I appreciate you reaching out, genuinely I do, but they are the questions your colleague should have asked. I posted on Twitter about customer service (or lack thereof) not the T&Cs of contract between a company and its customer. I’d prefer to DM or call. 1/2

Wayne Littlewood (@Waynelittlewood) reported from Southport, England@sihoughton @EE It’s got everything to do with it. They are doing it because they no longer have concessions in the EU. Like there’s no EU Medical insurance so if some idiot breaks their leg in Benidorm there’s no insurance and it will cost a fortune.

-
Wayne Littlewood (@Waynelittlewood) reported from Southport, England@sihoughton @EE So it’s got nothing to do with EU phone companies now charging the likes of EE to use their services when before it was part of the service provided? It’s like when you leave a club and still want to go back, you now have to pay for everything you got as part of the membership.
-
Dan (@DanMiller944) reported from Southport, England@EE Ok that's fine, just wondered if the company randomly deciding to ditch their phones for no reason would affect how they handle software updates as Google and Huawei might support it but EE has individually said they won't support Huawei, anyway, thanks.

Openreach (@WeAreOpenreach) reported@AP196779 @EE I'm sorry to hear that you've been going round in circles for the past five weeks. Malcolm Sillick (@Malcolm_Sillick) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE Lellani, it's not just EE, it's everyone. Even those on cable (Virgin Media) still have to have the phone plugged into the router. Seems like a good idea, until you get a power cut (which can be supported by a back-up battery, which is NOT given as standard) If the internet goes down, then so does your phone. Great if you have a mobile, but if you live in an area with a poor mobile signal, so reply on 'Wi-Fi calling' in the house, then when the internet goes down, you also have no mobile service. It's called progress!!
