So the power goes out, he lives in the middle of nowhere, no mobile phone signal unless he treks out into a field and up to the highest point,.perfect for a man in his 80s. Easy target for thieves, cut power, no 999 can be rang.

Dad's on the emergency roster for energy, cos of oxygen machines, but it's soooo cack-handed. The govt is always blindsided by tech and the lobbyists money. They are all morons

Peter Jordan (@jordanpaj) reported@EE Thx. The issue is that many users are generally older not very tech savvy, (my neighbour is 92) and so could well end up with no service if there is a power cut.

Peter (@Peter_POSH) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE I live in the countryside and my phone signal is crap. But you can still ring 999 without a signal as it searches all networks possible to make a connection.
