If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

The BBC has a rolling news channel on Freeview that could fit in an entire programme on his points as well as many other important issues not covered elsewhere.

Horror does none, yet most horror is dark for scare effect, folk whisper... Worse kind of set up to try and make out what happening. Access to service - subtitles should be mandatory now.

Douglas Mcfarlane (@dougmcfarlane41) reported@Blodeuweddmoon I'm truly not a #defundbbc type but one of their arguments is the harassment by TV license officers when told no TV etc. Now people lie, so appreciate they have to ask. But our region has no FREEVIEW signal hasn't since the 11th August so they should take that into account too
