@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

@KellyKn32782125 @MrsSMHI @FoolOfLondon If you watch anything on Freeview then it’s from same transmission network all paid from licence, sort of an access fee.

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@a516digital After freeview sent harry hill round to sort out my reception issue, I'm not going into again, I spent best part of £250 on an aerial to try and get proper local reception which doesnt work.

@BooOMeringue @BumblingD I live very near to this house. Internet here is very poor. 8mb at ours. No Freeview signal to speak of either, plus we don't even have mains gas. There are many other benefits though.

  • Rolo_Tamasi Rolo Tamasi (@Rolo_Tamasi) reported

@GMB Should we stop giving bad news media Freeview space?

  • pifflevalve Jon (@pifflevalve) reported

@BillyHoward423 For context, Freeview is the 'free' digital tv service, and I only have the box because the tv is so old it can't pick up the signal. Even the box is a supermarket own-brand and cost me £19 in 2013. It runs away scared at the thought of actual technology

Remember when things like cup finals *had* to be on freeview channels? **** Sky.

  • MsDJ1780 Ms DJ (@MsDJ1780) reported

@piersmorgan Sounds like my Uncle!! Took him to get a ‘new tv’ (with freeview, etc built in). With purchase he got 6 free months of one plus 12 months of another. I set it all up straight away (inc. the freebies). Yet, he’s never even tried them - he’d rather moan that there’s nothing on TV!

  • proogs Peter Scandrett (@proogs) reported

@jimmygulp Good example of the issue: Last Friday eve, WILTY, BBC1, Freeview guide starts "Rob Brydon is back in the host’s chair for a brand new series". S13, ep1. Problem is that S14 has aired recently, and it's blatantly not a new series.

@LGUKCare Bought a 2020 LG TV a few weeks ago and I've just realised that Freeview Play and All4 apps are missing and cannot be downloaded. Can you help me to rectify this? Is a software update required?

  • Ooh_Matron Richard Pearmain (@Ooh_Matron) reported

The Tom Cruise War Of The Worlds is on TV tonight, the blurb on the Freeview listings says it "deals with adult themes" - I've never heard aliens in giant tripods described like that before
