  • AndyMcK1982 Andy McKeown (@AndyMcK1982) reported from Liverpool, England

@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

Freeview Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • lanerobertlane Robert Falla-Louvét 🔭🪐🚀 (@lanerobertlane) reported

@scottygb @FloraCarmichael @alistaircoleman Freeview feed seemed to go to Aqiva via the Hotbird satellite, since RT on freeview went down when that feed was cut, as opposed to when the Astra 2 satellite (carrying sky/freesat’s seed) dropped it.

  • Jim_Cornelius Jim Cornelius🇺🇦🕊 (@Jim_Cornelius) reported

Note: the Freeview service obtains its feed from the satellite broadcast.

  • SillyFool11 Filly Sool (@SillyFool11) reported

@Lorien_MI @RT_com I'd assume you'd also support an official ISIS TV channel on freeview?

  • StevieHemmings Steven Hemmings - License to till 💙 (@StevieHemmings) reported

@richardxxx4 @Noundela1 Are you getting it via internet or TV service such as Freeview, Sky etc.

  • joe90kane 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿j_kane🇵🇸 #pwME (@joe90kane) reported

@Peasweat2 My bad. RT not available on Freeview 234 but still broadcasting on Freeview 113.

  • ImmuneNaturally John Kelley (@ImmuneNaturally) reported

@LordDeeDah Just back home from busy day to find no RT on freeview the channel is still there but the caption on screen reads: "This service is currently not available"

  • colin1951uk Colin Knight (@colin1951uk) reported

@a516digital So this is an Arqiva decision to shut down on Freeview?

  • tvlive TV Live 🇺🇦 (@tvlive) reported

BREAKING: RT has now been shut down completely on Freeview.

  • alan_shaefer Alan Shaefer🇺🇦 🗽💙🧡💜 #FBNHS #JohnsonOut #PATH (@alan_shaefer) reported

RT no longer broadcasting on Freeview, just the sign "This service is currently unavailable." Tech problem? Hacked?

  • mpk Mike (@mpk) reported

@veronica_landon @lexheath @PippaCrerar Ofcom is doing everything by the book. Lots of investigations running into various RT-related issues but they (rightly) don’t have the power to simply yank channels off air. Whether RT can still pay their bills for carriage on Freeview et al with the sanctions is another thing..
