  • AMH_Andrew
    Matrix Breaker (@AMH_Andrew) reported

@GeoffBuysCars @EE Shocking Geoff. FWIW, I recently bought a GiffGaff SIM card/call plan (uses the O2 network) online with no questions asked - just an email address and card payment needed

  • g_joyce
    Graham Joyce ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿฆ‹ (@g_joyce) reported

@giffgaff why canโ€™t I make a phone call from Edinburgh? Every time I try to call someone, the network drops out.

  • Woody3704
    Woody Knows (@Woody3704) reported

@crip72012 @hewantswealth I had O2 for a long time and it was fine for work and making calls Until I needed an actual good network with consistent uptime and no 300 ping when I'm playing online games. Giffgaff runs smoother. For what I use it for anyway. That 6 quid extra is honestly whatever.

  • stinaswvg
    Stina blackstenius 2026 BDO ๐Ÿ”œ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ (@stinaswvg) reported

10 p/m on a phone (probably just the sim only) is possible maybe only on giffgaff cause every other network even three (best network btw) is at least 12 pound monthly for the cheapest plan with no add ons

  • AndyMRoberts
    Andrew Roberts ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ (@AndyMRoberts) reported

@Rick_Turner @TheSimonC90 Iโ€™m with giffgaff which runs on O2. What is the coverage like where you are? If you were not receiving a 4G/5G signal at the time of the test, you wouldnโ€™t have received the alert. There are so many places around here that only get 3G and they wonโ€™t have received the alert.

  • Woody3704
    Woody Knows (@Woody3704) reported

@SamRobi90967600 @hewantswealth Yh unlimited data isnt exactly unlimited Giffgaff has a 650GB limit. If you break it twice in a year then they can apparently just deactivate your account and refuse service. I only used around 900GB once. & that was because of watching netflix + post PC format game downloads

  • Ms_MerryThought
    BornFab_NotAFAB (@Ms_MerryThought) reported

@MarinaPurkiss @EE I never have a contract. Use giffgaff and monthly goody bag. Can never be overcharged or get into any of these silly situations.

  • itsmeitsmeandy
    AM (@itsmeitsmeandy) reported

@giffgaff hello i am having major issues with bt i am now paying out of contract prices with them and they wont let me cancel my landline unless i renegotiate a contract with them which i no longer wish to do. is there any phone number to talk to someone about a one switch move ?

  • ShazzBakes
    ShazzBakes (@ShazzBakes) reported

@TrickyMcKicky I've 197 lines of data (still awaiting network from 20). GiffGaff, Tesco, iD, Virgin: some named that + "O2" or "EE" but most didn't. So I can't sort properly unless the actual provider is listed. There are 4 Three customers who DID get the alert. So it wasn't a complete ****-up.

  • industrialteg
    T Roberts ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ˜ท (@industrialteg) reported

@CentralBylines Husband did (including the alarm noise) I didn't, so it was 50:50 in our house. I was definitely on 4G. I'm with Giffgaff who use O2s network (I think?)
