Called the customer care 4-5 times since then finally came to know that the application is approved, all clear from the underwriting services team, it's sitting with the banking approval team. Perhaps you're going to get a new card now incase someone has got hold of your details? I know my daughter had a similar problem with unauthorised payments. 3 cards later the problem was solved!
