The decision on the debates should be made by an independent panel...and if Johnson and Corbyn have a problem with what the panel suggests an empty chair can always fill in for them.

Richard Madeley looks & sounds bloody awful on ITV today. Looks like Mr Tango with his orange face & cheap looking blond streaked hair. Sounds more like Alan Partridge than Steve Coogan does. I’m sure he’s on strong prescription drugs making him sound so daft at 6.30am.

@TheSimonC90 At a push, Channel 4. I suspect we'd get a more creative entry. ITV and Channel 5 would be a car crash. I suspect none of the other networks realise the money and work involved, however. There is nothing to stop the BBC doing an amazing job, however. They simply don't want to.

BBC news is doing nothing to help this issue of over 75s paying the TVs licences from next year. That comes has no surprise. Only ITV have taken this up and will fight for people who are least able to fight.

@ITV please help us #SaveNeighbours it would make a perfect fit on ITV daytime and then at 7pm on ITV2 before the new 7.30pm Emmerdale kicks off on ITV. If it can get 1.5 million viewers on crappy @channel5_tv it will be double on ITV. This is more than a soap to loyal viewers
