@AskNationwide Well I do hope that it's sorted before any other transactions go through today because I'm expecting a payment of £500 into my account and also expecting Tfl to take money from my account overnight. If the problem isn't sorted out then I will not be able to get to work tomorrow.

@AskNationwide why are the cashiers in your EMPTY Twickenham branch refusing to accept a cash deposit over the counter? Instead directing me to use a paying in machine stating FlexDirect accounts are self service accounts. Great way to lose a customer. 👍🏾

@AskNationwide see you took down the tweet glorifying the dishonest self-serving PM. I’ve banked with you for years but now reviewing my arrangement

@AskNationwide maybe you can help me, seeing as your in-branch staff just said “go online” and your phone line has had me on hold for 30 minutes. I want to close a savings account and take out the money, but I can see no button to click on for this in online banking.

Credit where it is due. Samantha at Natwest got it sorted and compensated me for the problems. Well done to her. @NatWest_Help should be grateful. @AskNationwide the ball is in your court to keep me as a customer.

@AskNationwide my daughter is trying to arrange a mortgage with Nationwide. It’s taking too long (4 weeks so far!) they keep telling her there is a problem with the IT system. I think someone has screwed up. Should she go elsewhere for her mortgage? 1/2
-
Nope
(@No_name_on_twit) reported
@AskNationwide She really needs to speak to someone in the UK, preferably Scotland who can help her speed things up. Someone who will not fob her off with excuses of technical issues and jargon.

So, @MartinSLewis @AskNationwide How long are people waiting for replacement cards from their banks? I was told 5 working days — it’s been over a week and still no sign. Anyone else having this problem with Nationwide?

@AskNationwide @AskNationwide Yes it was done via the switch service. I’ve asked family to change their details to my new nationwide account for a SO and it says it can’t identify the details which is what was happening when I was trying to change bank details on my child benefit payments

Bit of unexpect cash today - £62 to be precise from @AskNationwide 15 years ago the Mister opened a cashbook account at Nationwide in Edinburgh to deposit some cash when his dad died on behalf of his nephew who was out of country but left it by his Grandad. It was in there for a couple of years Eventually he returned to Scotland and the Mister gave him the cash his dad (nephews grandad) wanted to leave it - the account was at 0 Today ..... text from Nationwide to his number saying they had post returned to them and needed to speak to him about his account - he doesn't even have the passbook Couldn't use the automated service was we had no account number to hand and it kept cutting him off and saying it couldn't help without one. Decided to ring using my credentials as I have a current and savings account with them. I went through security and then explained about his text and asked if it was genuine and put his on the phone He have his address in Newcastle ..... nope .... EH6 they said ..... it was that far back and he gave them his old address in Leith. Bingo Turns out that the 0 became about a tenner in an interest payment the following year and it's earned interest ever since and it's now at £62 and a few pennies The letter was to say that his passbook account was now a sort code and account number, like a current account and was returned in the post. We've got the details and tomorrow he can log in and claim that little bit of cash Thanks Nationwide

@ZiaYusufUK My wife has been refused access to the current account she has operated with @AskNationwide for 35 years until she tells them what her annual income is. They claim (wrongly) that it's a 'legal requirement'. Frankly, it's none of their business. @TheFCA 😡

@AskNationwide This may not have anything that you are advising But when confining your bank details why on earth would you want to deliberately **** around
-
Nope

@AskNationwide This is just not true. We called the branch and were told that if she goes there they can only set up a call with the number you gave They cannot help with mortgages direct.
