If you need a new provider - Avoid O2

Could you let me know the very best price based on 1 GB or 3 GB data over 36 months. Happy to DM any additional info.
-
Chris Sammons (@ChrisSammons_) reported from Birmingham, England@O2 I appreciate theres obviously a serious issue, I’ve never known signal to be down for so long at one time. There needs to be a conversation at some stage regarding a substantial reimbursement on this months tariff, because to not have any signal whatsoever for this long is a pain
-

Virgin Handset is now mine but 20 months left on O2 airtime plan. I cant cancel my O2 plan in order to start again (it wont let me change tariffs for 20 months)
-
Dani Grim (@RefinedSavage) reported from Dudley, EnglandSeems like @virginmedia is completely down in our area, I can't even access their support site to log a problem. Also it appears that @O2 is having some sort of issue, my mobile data connection is so slow that royal mail could be a viable messaging alternative.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Tasha 🦄 (@princesstash617) reported@O2 the company that ask you a suitable time that call back, ensure or promise to call you back at that time and you never hear anything until you phone again. 5 times now, getting a bit frustrating to say the least.
-
John Till (@JohnTillUK) reported@McWhirterAlex @kieran_jsmith I had to leave @o2 after 29 years as the service had just deteriorated so badly. Didn’t want to leave but it just got to the point where it was regularly unusable on my travels. I’m now using a MVNO which uses EE and it’s just so much better for half the price too.
-
Dazzy (@ACEzio2009) reported@O2 im getting fed up with you keep cutting my mobile phone off the last 3-4 months in a row..My bill is due on 29th every month..but u cut my phone off in 48 hours??..what gives??..usually i get a week to pay my bills before anything gets cut..but you guys cut everything in 48 hours🤬..when my contract is up next year im done with you lot..unless i get chance to pay the bill up early...customer service is rubbish as well..i will be moving to another operator..after 20+ years with u as well..shame...
-
richard gibbs (@GibbsRichgibbs1) reported@O2 I’ve been trying to cancel a pay as u go contract my son had for over a year now still paying £25 a month for a phone he hasn’t got not getting anywhere fast keep getting pushed from pillar to post how hard can it be to terminate a contract 😡😡
-
amanda mcglynn (@amandammcglynn) reported@O2 I have been trying for over 4 years to resolve 2 issues with you &i get no further than guy in the call centre . 1 Youve been charging me and my son for my son’s account for years but won’t admit it 2 You have me registered with a completely different acc& No charging me too
-
Sarah H (@SarahWM45) reportedThrough a phone “system” and 3 operators who largely ignored our issue. We’re now on to the Complaints team at @o2. A disproportionate amount of effort to leave a contract they are not fulfilling, without being charged. As we can send a text or receive a call. @MartinSLewis
-
Chris (@Uncle_C_J) reported@xxxxminniex @O2 This happened to my elderly mum, too! A few months in a row. I kicked off with O2. They did help out and refund a good chunk of it. Then I put a spend cap of £0 on. It stops all the premium rate things like this happening.
-
Andy Reynolds (@oit_andy) reported@kokeshimum @O2 Yep, I live in Milnrow, signal is fine there but if I drive up Huddersfield road or Todmorden road the signal completely disappears. It’s hilarious when they add another number to the “G” when some places in the U.K. haven’t event got 1G.
-
Sarah H (@SarahWM45) reportedIf your phone doesn’t ring and can’t send messages because of zero signal for two years. When you want to leave should you pay the “early exit fee” ?? @MartinSLewis ? Because trying to talk to @O2 about it is made extremely stressful by their “system”.
-
Andrew Barnes (@ajgbarnes) reported@O2 Just awful, have a travel bolt on, valid for another 20+ days, bill on new cycle and NO WAY of seeing how much data is left now. Too scared to go over limit with data roaming as you'll charge me a fortune. Not good enough.
