O2 Issues Reports Near East Kilbride, Scotland
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in East Kilbride and nearby locations:
-
Martin Robertson (@Haggisthelord) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 Support had suggested clearing caches, deleting data, restarts etc. All tried. All failed. There are no service centres here in Scotland to take the phone to. There is clearly an known issue that has affected many p30 pro users after updates. It would appear to be firmware.
-
BiggestNizzy (@BiggestNizzy) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 5G is garbage, whenever my phone picks up a 5G signal (normally in Glasgow) the performance drops like a stone!
-
Per Hammer (@perhammer) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 Had to call 202 in the end, but they sorted it straight away. Sadly it seems it’s a well known problem: tariff upgrade gets a default data bolt-on, not the iPhone flavour, causing VVM to fail. Adding the iPhone bolt-on fixes it almost instantly. Sorted now, until next time.

Andrew (@AMontguire) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 I need help with a plan I have with you the monthly payment isn’t what I signed up for

-
Stephen O'Donnell (@steve5424) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@apakula @O2 I would usually explain to the customer how our terms made it clear it was customers responsibility to end contract and also ofcom etc also advise customers to check banks accs regularly and monitor DDs. Then offer a max of 12 months refund as gesture of goodwill and close acc.
-
Iain Montgomery (@H0raceWimp) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 I have just investigated your Volt benefits. According to your site, I'm not eligible because @virginmedia isn't available at my address. I'm sending this on their WiFi, having been a customer with them and predecessor companies for about 20 years.
-
Iain Montgomery (@H0raceWimp) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 Is there any option that allows me to ask a question and have it at least recognised, never mind answered? Your bots are useless and I've given up waiting to talk to someone thousands of miles away.
-
Cheryl Mckenzie (@Cheryl_x) reported from Clydebank, ScotlandThe @O2 Priority app crashing before 10am was never a good sign for Beyoncé tickets 🥴🥴🥴 what a disaster!
-
Martin Robertson (@Haggisthelord) reported from Uddingston, Scotland@O2 Me too because I'm paying for a premium camera phone that can't be properly used as a camera phone. Worst experience in over 10 years of being an o2 customer.

O2 Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Jo Harrington (@1joharrington) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 UK 5G is dreadful. Third-party user testing from Opensignal and Ookla showed that the everyday user experience in the UK is among the worst in the developed world. 40% of the time your phone shows the "5G" icon in the UK, it is actually running on older 4G infrastructure.
-
what the dickens? (@MitziStaff77788) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE We used to be able to work in France. Then your **** government took that away from us. So sit ******** down and shut ******** up. This **** is all your fault.
-
Toby #FBPE #FBPA (@tobybmth) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Yes there is a massive problem with phone signal however it didn’t start in July 2024. What were you all upto? Were you busy virtue signalling?
-
Barbara Richardson (@Barbara25122320) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE I’m in Dulwich too. Wasn’t it Boris and his cycling Czar who gave us cycle lanes and closed roads? What did your party do in government to improve mobile service?
-
GBD (@DJBSBC) reported@O2 @TomTugendhat O2 your signal and data in particular is farcical. It’s one industry that has taken the biggest step back in terms of advancements and relies on people using WiFi more often and just ‘accepting’ that the service is ****.
-
Mark Beardmore (@Beardmore8Mark) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @vodafone Automatic Roaming for UK customers-problem solved #roaming4all
-
Fiona Mountford (@FionaLondonarts) reported@O2 SIX DAYS for a reply to my messsage! I do feel valued as a customer... This simply confirms my decision to leave O2 for a proper grown-up network. Woeful service all round.
-
Dr Hanko Honkasson (@drhanko2) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Tom Tugendhat suggesting that somehow the Government is responsible for very poor coverage by privately run mobile networks in Dulwich, and that taxpayer should be funding improvements for companies like EE (2025 profits £1.2 billion) as infrastructure rather than cycle lanes.
-
Chris (@ChrisHa21736755) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE The UK mobile companies have been dealing with massive 4G and 5G investment costs and ever decreasing margins due to reducing contract prices. Meanwhile mobile use continues to rise leading to network congestion. All part of a healthy competitive market you might say.
