O2 have admitted error but to date have been unable to get refund. Another 45 mins on phone today and still cannot tell me when money is coming back.

Then 1st of April no access to any network/no numbers working (new number wasnโt working and the old one she was getting changed over to wasnโt working) so phoned 02 and waited nearly 2 hours to get through and was told 24 hours

Sadly it seems itโs a well known problem: tariff upgrade gets a default data bolt-on, not the iPhone flavour, causing VVM to fail. Adding the iPhone bolt-on fixes it almost instantly. Sorted now, until next time.

If its been years and you've not been looking at your bank then it's not their fault. Partial refund as goodwill maybe.

Chris (@Uncle_C_J) reported@xxxxminniex @O2 This happened to my elderly mum, too! A few months in a row. I kicked off with O2. They did help out and refund a good chunk of it. Then I put a spend cap of ยฃ0 on. It stops all the premium rate things like this happening.
