Stephen O'Donnell (@steve5424) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@apakula @O2 I can't speak for them personally, however most contract T&Cs do state that after the minimum term ends its up to the customer to make contact and give notice. If its been years and you've not been looking at your bank then it's not their fault. Partial refund as goodwill maybe.

If you requested to cancel and they have notes confirming this and they didn't do it then the issue is theirs to fix and refund. I used to be customer relations for a different mobile network.

Signal comes then goes all day meaning I keep getting a load of notifications then nothing for ages and I'm getting repetitive voicemail ones also with no actual voicemail stored. I got a galaxy 8 classic mobile data and I accidently downloaded the sim plan for my phone instead of watch and they have completely refused to help me sort it so my watch straight up is a clock when I go on runs.

They sent me into a store and they had no idea about it either and reffered me back. I'm now waiting in my fourth call. It's maddening.
