-
Stephen O'Donnell (@steve5424) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@apakula @O2 I would usually explain to the customer how our terms made it clear it was customers responsibility to end contract and also ofcom etc also advise customers to check banks accs regularly and monitor DDs. Then offer a max of 12 months refund as gesture of goodwill and close acc.
-
Graeme mackie (@mackbhoy) reported from Glasgow, ScotlandHave just moved back to @O2 and wanted confirmation that my PAC code was being processed, however it appears that both chat and calls are too busy to help. Not the best of starts😐
-
Martin Robertson (@Haggisthelord) reported from Uddingston, Scotland@O2 Me too because I'm paying for a premium camera phone that can't be properly used as a camera phone. Worst experience in over 10 years of being an o2 customer.

Stephen O'Donnell (@steve5424) reported from Cambuslang, Scotland@O2 hey guys. I have a Galaxy S20+ 5G from you that I got in June last year. Since yesterday the volume down button has been feeling soft and spongy and no longer clicks all the time. What can I do about it?
-
-
Stephen O'Donnell (@steve5424) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@apakula @O2 Well O2 systems are all automated. People don't sit and monitor accounts. If you requested to cancel and they have notes confirming this and they didn't do it then the issue is theirs to fix and refund. I used to be customer relations for a different mobile network.
-
Taylor Young (@TaylorYoungTY) reported from Stepps, Scotland@O2 Paused it? What do you mean? What if the issue isn't resolved by midnight?
-
Per Hammer (@perhammer) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@O2 Had to call 202 in the end, but they sorted it straight away. Sadly it seems it’s a well known problem: tariff upgrade gets a default data bolt-on, not the iPhone flavour, causing VVM to fail. Adding the iPhone bolt-on fixes it almost instantly. Sorted now, until next time.

O2 Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Craig-David (@CraigGodders) reported@O2 can I legally leave my contract with you because of how poor the signal is? There’s a good mile square ld of my town I can’t get any 4g at all.
-
TheShireOfYork (@TheShireOfYork) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 when SpaceX starlink is available on phones it will be the end of terrestrial phone service and broadband
-
helen wood (@DivineBiba) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @vodafone I had terrible reception with EE for 2 years and now Im with 02 everything is fine. EE also had me on an expensive contract for no good reason, it took a year to sort out a more reasonable deal.
-
Quelpanama (@Quelpanama) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Yet another issue where we have to think back to Tom’s time in Kabul liaising between MI6 and the SAS. Apparently sitting behind a desk in a building yards away from a communication mast he got a good signal. So heroic!
-
Jo Harrington (@1joharrington) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 UK 5G is dreadful. Third-party user testing from Opensignal and Ookla showed that the everyday user experience in the UK is among the worst in the developed world. 40% of the time your phone shows the "5G" icon in the UK, it is actually running on older 4G infrastructure.
-
William Harford (@williampharford) reported@worstall @O2 @vodafone Maybe they'll help improve matters like they have with equity investments in local broadband...
-
Malcolm Bebb (@BebbMalcolm) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE So which government mobile phone network do you use? 'Cos I don't see the connection.
-
Peter Alston (@paalston) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Make it the law, ofcom, that if there’s no decent reception on your chosen provider then mobiles piggyback onto a service which is actually available whenever you are, akin to the 999 thing - your mobile provider pick up the cost. Arguably just one UK network would be better
-
Skylier (@ebamsky) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 You're right. O2 should be the worst. I've used Three (more of coverage than quality problem) which was fair, I've recently ported to EE-based provider from O2.
-
Nick Booth (@nicknickster) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @vodafone Exactly. They all share one network of masts now so no-one has an incentive (or an ability) to provide a better service
