@GlasgowNotOsteo @Plusnet Hi Daniel, thank you for your message. They did offer a repayment plan. My issue is that it wasn’t explained to me that i would have to pay for 4 months of broadband that we didn’t need or use when we reopened. Fairly brutal customer service given the circumstances..

@Moognific @virginmedia in my experience when anyone who has a good experience with any internet provider, there are plenty who have the opposite. I've had nothing but amazing service from PlusNet for 5 years now, but I know plenty who have had the opposite. Location matters a lot, ask neighbours maybe?

@johncayliffe @Plusnet @lizcooperclark It's the total brick wall in terms of communication which is so appalling. For days they've posted one untrue canned message regardless of the question & their service status message now says there's no problem. I've sent them countless private messages and am at my wits end.

@Plusnet @lizcooperclark Email service hasn't been restored. I haven't been able to receive or send in Outlook for over a week and have lost my whole history of crucial messages including ones relating to a house move. All I've had is the same pasted message over and over and been completely ignored.

@Plusnet That's cool, thanks. It turned out that after changing the password for the account, this change didn't get automatically pushed to the router. Took me a while to figure it out (it wasn't suggested anywhere in your support materials)
