Do not get @PostOffice travel insurance - refused a claim for HAVING to buy clothes on holiday because our bags NEVER arrived. Post office say they were “delayed” (we got them back 2 days after we returned to the UK) disgraceful service and rude staff on the phone.

And, they will be “nice” until customer provokes their thinking and dismantle their cosy club. Not high level educ thinking, hey? Be “nice” so customers do not expose what is going on. @Shatter242 Ask your postal worker if you can leave mail in the box or if there is a place nearby where they collect. I leave outgoing mail in my box. If that doesn't help you can call your local postoffice and ask if there is a closer box.
