@tomthegrecian @SkySports They mentioned the retrospective ban in the video, additionally the player got booed when substituted, as he’d let his team down with his abysmal actions.

@ClassicCulprit @SkySports It's a funny one, but I believe as it is a clear case of mistaken identity and it was violent conduct, then the actual player will be retrospectively punished, and the mistaken player will have the card and ban rescinded. Sadly it doesn't help on the night, and the result stands.
