  • travellingbex Bex Allen (@travellingbex) reported from Oxfordshire, England

4yrs with @virginmedia never had a problem. But now that I do their 'customer service' sucks, endless cycles of talking to bots on their website, or being on hold for hours on the phone! 3 days of this just trying to get the Internet I'm paying for! #frustrated #virginmedia

  • MilesGomme Miles Gomme (@MilesGomme) reported from Cumnor, England

@virginmedia I only use the hub as a router for my internal network of Dlan Wi-Fi extenders. This provides the best solution in my house. Having another Wi-Fi signal only causes more issues. Manual control is always the best solution! The Dlan routers stopped working….

  • MilesGomme Miles Gomme (@MilesGomme) reported from Cumnor, England

@virginmedia why did you bother sending out the email about opting out of having your Wi-Fi settings changed, when you go and do it anyway!! I had to reset and turn off all the changes you made! If it isn’t broken don’t fix it!!!

  • Olski Olie Bosley (@Olski) reported from Abingdon, England

@virginmedia how embarrassing is it for you that I would rather pay @skytv more per month just to not have to deal with your appalling customer service?

  • P1perdog PDog (@P1perdog) reported from Chipping Norton, England

@virginmedia After a 40min phone call and 3 advisors I have been told the only way to retrieve my new customer benefit was through the webchat on your website. This has not been working all day! Please can someone contact me to resolve

  • Fabiaburlesque Fabia Cerra - Actor/Dancer/Choreographer/Writer (@Fabiaburlesque) reported from Oxfordshire, England

@TheO2 and @virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Be careful of this, they say they will send you a free SIM card. First off, it never arrived. Secondly, they rack up a bill baring in mind I’ve not used it. Then put it on your credit rating. So glad my three year contract ends with o2 soon.

  • kirkknowles121 Kirk (@kirkknowles121) reported from Witney, England

@virginmedia I have…..went down at 9:26 this morning & latest estimate for fix is 15:30 tomorrow. Really not good enough, will give @skytv the business.

  • wcbutcher Bill Butcher (@wcbutcher) reported from Kidlington, England

The whole house was just woken up by @virginmedia who decided to make a sales call at 7:45am this morning. So much for a peaceful lie in. I panicked when someone called so early on a Saturday morning, I thought it must be a family emergency. Thanks @VirginMediaCorp!

  • kirkknowles121 Kirk (@kirkknowles121) reported from Witney, England

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Danninyelle Danielle (@Danninyelle) reported

@virginmedia Yes twice. I’ve also tried to run the test from my app to the hub and it is discovering an “unknown issue”

  • thejayfaulkner Jay Faulkner ♿ (@thejayfaulkner) reported

@virginmedia Because, obviously, I'd like to know what the issues were, and what was done to fix them/ensure they won't happen again* *25+ years IT Manager head speaking :)

  • jomackfall Jo Mackfall (@jomackfall) reported

@virginmedia Trying without much success to leave if i'm honest! I refuse to pay more than double than new customers to get the same package, after 11 years of being a customer. Nail in the coffin was the email notifying me of a more than 10% price increase.

  • thejayfaulkner Jay Faulkner ♿ (@thejayfaulkner) reported

@virginmedia I did yes. An engineer did try earlier to do something, and thought he'd got it sorted, but we're now in a worse position than before unfortunately (not blaming him!). Said 2nd line support will look in 48hrs or so ...but obviously it's been over a week of this issue.

  • TheBeehammer TheBeehammer (@TheBeehammer) reported

@thejayfaulkner @virginmedia That is really weird. To help isolate issues, I switched my Google wifi router to AP mode and put it behind a TPLINK wired only router to confirm it only impacted wireless. It could be the device radio?

  • jomackfall Jo Mackfall (@jomackfall) reported

@virginmedia Whilst I appreciate that, its not particularly appealing to a customer of 11 years to take a hit on the bill and pay £70 when new customers can pay £30 for the same package.

  • GoodServicePlse PLSE HELP/NOTE THX (@GoodServicePlse) reported

@virginmedia Thanks for your help. The annual discount of £120 that I recently lost is now less than 25% of that. So much for loyalty. In the end I gave up the will to live .....

  • fizzybaba Shez (@fizzybaba) reported

@virginmedia currently partner sat online since 4.00 pm this afternoon waiting to speak to customer sevices. What an absolute joke..😡😡

  • Fred_Mullin FM (@Fred_Mullin) reported

@virginmedia “With her email registered to it” That’s personal information. And of course she has active Virgin services, that was explicit in earlier Tweets. Any sensibly customer facing business has escalation processes. I’ll instead vontact the industry regulator.

  • Danninyelle Danielle (@Danninyelle) reported

@virginmedia @Shai_Khan Reinvest? I can get twice the broadband speed elsewhere for less…. Update ur infrastructure and provide a better service before pricing urselves out the market….
