Ofcom found that MILLIONS of customer service interactions were mishandled to prevent or delay cancellations. Specific tactics included: • Deliberately dropping or hanging up calls when customers asked to cancel. Putting callers on hold for no reason to frustrate them Excessive and unnecessary call transfers between departments.
