CrankyGeek (@pepetideo) reported from Oxford, EnglandYou only know how sitty a service provider relly is when something goes wrong. Was with @virginmedia for over 5 years. Now that i decided to leave they have charged me for 2 months with me already with another provider. After complaining they take 2 months to refund you and now that i sent them their router they somehow misplaced it and charged me 40 quid saying i didnt send it (even thought i had a call last week where i gave them the receipt) If you are their customer.. Get out as soon as possible and remember to block the direct debits. They cannot be trusted with your money.

Oxford Wolf /\_/\ 🔶 (@Oxfordwolf) reported from Oxfordshire, EnglandThe whole house was just woken up by @virginmedia who decided to make a sales call at 7:45am this morning. So much for a peaceful lie in. I panicked when someone called so early on a Saturday morning, I thought it must be a family emergency. Thanks @VirginMediaCorp!

Fabia Cerra - Actor/Dancer/Choreographer/Writer (@Fabiaburlesque) reported from Oxfordshire, England@TheO2 and @virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Be careful of this, they say they will send you a free SIM card. First off, it never arrived. Secondly, they rack up a bill baring in mind I’ve not used it. Then put it on your credit rating. So glad my three year contract ends with o2 soon.
-
Nick Malden (@Malders) reported from Godstow, England@virginmedia @virginhelp we have been out for a few hours on ox2 8pg. When will our service be back up?
-
Miles Gomme (@MilesGomme) reported from Cumnor, England@virginmedia I only use the hub as a router for my internal network of Dlan Wi-Fi extenders. This provides the best solution in my house. Having another Wi-Fi signal only causes more issues. Manual control is always the best solution! The Dlan routers stopped working….

Virgin have made this a very difficult transition and treated a loyal customer with utter contempt
-
CrankyGeek (@pepetideo) reported from Begbroke, England@virginmedia Yes.. After much back and forth to simply getting teh to acknowledge they had overcharged me for 2 months... But the issue is... You took my money incorrectly but the refund takes a 45 days. This is absolutely despicable. There is no reason for a delay like that
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Christian Schmeer (@cschmeer) reported@virginmedia Thank you, but unfortunately there’s no alternative placement as the next power socket would be through a wall and 10 meters down the hallway, which might help with the overheating, but it all my network connections run to the cupboard by the entrance.
-
Kevin McGinley (@kevmcgin1888) reported@virginmedia broadband has just went down and its impossible to get speaking to someone on the phone. Live chat directed me to WhatsApp and still nothing
-
Simon (@cleggy1966) reported@virginmedia Eventually. Your customer services are a shambles. 2 appointments arbitrarily cancelled by you without any notification, and 4 phone calls, holding for a minimum of 20 minutes every time
-

-
littlemisssunshine (@JulieFeronica) reported@virginmedia what's going on in CF14? The broadband is constantly dropping out. App is useless... always says there's nothing wrong until I check the hub, then it's an "intermittent signal". This is just woeful.
-
Mr Nash (@Nasher6328) reported@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Under UK law (primarily the Consumer Rights Act 2015), broadband services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be of satisfactory quality. A complete outage lasting 7 weeks is almost certainly a breach, giving you the right to end the contract and seek a remedy (like cancellation without penalty or a refund for the affected period). Virgin Media participates in Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme for total loss of service (no internet at all via wired connection). You should already be getting ~£10.34 per day automatically after the first 2 full working days of reporting the fault. This doesn't directly let you cancel penalty-free, but it supports your case.
-
TrippingMonke (@TrippingMonke) reported@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia sue for breach of contract as they do not provide you a service ?

... - ..- 𝚂𝚝𝚞 (@_Alfista) reported@ArrEssVeeTwin @jen_moxon @virginmedia many years ago at previous address I had to take annual leave to call Virgin customer services during UK office hours, when I knew it was UK call centre answering, as the foreign one never logged a single call so had to start all over each time.
