  • bankaudits1 Mike McNulty 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🇺🇦✊ (@bankaudits1) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I tried to get help but didn’t get through to anyone just a text sent to my mobile telling me how to fix it but no joy. Checked the forums and turns out I’m not alone and the upgrade is rubbish so just stuck it in the cupboard.. hopeless!

  • galleonskip Roddy Elliott (@galleonskip) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Got a message after power outage in Edinburgh yesterday that Virgin Services had been restored - internet is okay but ‘phone line off. Is this a known issue, EH16

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Since yesterday afternoon. I was working so not entirely sure but approx 24 hours. £160 a month to be without even “free” channels. I am aware nothing is without fault but the poor customer service and lack of ability to locate/tell us what the issue is, is appalling.

  • PatMcCarthy37 Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I managed to find a phone number to call you. The message 'don't contact us unless you need to' isn't great is it! Follow up text asks me to rate VM on the basis of my interaction. Not fair is it. Not the help desk fault if everything else is so bad.

  • MattLafff MATT LAFF (@MattLafff) reported from Windygates, Scotland

@virginmedia I know there is issues.. AGAIN

  • philippawrightt Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia do you actually read formal complaints or are they just automated responses too?! For the second time the response does not answer the complaint at all?

  • galleonskip Roddy Elliott (@galleonskip) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia No known service issues ‘though

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

I was left without service for a week with multiple lies, promises of calls that didn’t happen and appalling customer service … you promise compensation of a month for free, the next you state £650 for disconnection. We are in a coat of living crisis you idiots! @virginmedia

  • bigtoodle Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia at last, fixed at last, that’s only taken from the 20th Nov to the 28th of Dec to fix my home phone.

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I am on the phone right now and like I’ve said. The service I am receiving is disgusting. 40 minutes call and to be told that in a #CostOfLivingCrisis you want £650+ to disconnect a service. Must’ve been robbers you merged with as this is criminal behaviour.

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Finally something positive to say about @virginmedia following a call from Callum at the “executive team” providing the level of current service I would expect from a such a huge company! Perhaps the skills of good customer service need to be a CPD exercise for the call centres!

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Very interesting as I was told £216.11 for each service (TV, BB, Phone). I asked is this a total of over £600 and she said, “yea mamm, that is correct”. My response was purely to laugh. This conversation has happed in the last 15 minutes. Absolutely despicable!

  • MacqueenHector Hector MacQueen (@MacqueenHector) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia, I have been trying to contact you for 3 weeks in order to cancel my TV contract. Email, phone, WhatsApp and your app all lead into frustrating brick walls. Kindly contact me, quickly.

  • ladyracer70 diandrick (@ladyracer70) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Thanks for asking. An operator will call me back tomorrow, as it’s part of an ongoing three week saga. I’m so disappointed as I’ve been a loyal VM (originally Telewest) customer for around 30 years. Remaining hopeful 🙃

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Just said it would be back on by 1230. It’s not … paying a fortune (way above the odds!) a month for service I’m not getting. New contract with another provider incoming.

  • vcash78 victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Trying to downgrade/cancel your @virginmedia is made harder than it ought to be! Perhaps of your customer service was better then I wouldn’t have made this request after all these years. Diabolical and shoddy! There was a time when I’d have only recommended them over competitors!

  • philippawrightt Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Read my tweet. I have been sent a “resolution” already. Which advised to return the box/speak to online chat if further issues. As I have pointed out multiple times I have already returned the box. This is absolutely infuriating at this point.

  • seldomseenkid seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

    @virginmedia internet down. Again. Why?

  • philippawrightt Philippa Wright (@philippawrightt) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Sorry? Like my formal complaint - I’m unsure if you have read my tweet? I bought a box and returned the WiFi myself. Ombudsman time?

  • ryanmeston07 Ryan Meston (@ryanmeston07) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

    @virginmedia fix red button

@virginmedia Checked earlier and now and it only reports TV issues; which I do not have so

  • Samu88105371 Sam u (@Samu88105371) reported

@virginmedia No they didn't because virgin media is forceful on customer to remain with their services . My contract ended September 8 last month and I make it clear to virgin media in August that I am dissatisfied about their services reason been that virgin media network wasn't good in my

  • CEdvardz The Edvardz (@CEdvardz) reported

@virginmedia They were no more able to help than you are. This process is so broken it’s a joke. Apparently, they can only update the notes as they only deal with cancelled direct debit. The same team called again today.

  • PaesiFantasma Paesi Fantasma (@PaesiFantasma) reported

@virginmedia I left a bad review on trustpilot and I've got an email saying to contact you. How? I can't call, I can't send an email. I used the chat and the result is that I have to pay because of your agents. Complaints are not going through the website. That's totally rubbish.

  • patinkent Pat Cox (@patinkent) reported

@virginmedia Ihave checked and entered my postcode and it still says issues with TV just as it has done since Thursday. I am reluctant to talk to your team as they have no respect for the older person and treat us as if we don't understand, despite the fact that I have taight basic IT skills

  • elkie76 elkie76 (@elkie76) reported

@virginmedia Thanks. I've checked that page, the problem is not covered there unfortunately - there's simply no service. What next?

  • fagsagainstgod sol - DOCTOR WHO SPOILERS!!! (@fagsagainstgod) reported

not virgin media completely going down and THEN sending me a text half an hour later that they’re carrying out works in the area. Cheers mate 🥴

  • fagsagainstgod sol - DOCTOR WHO SPOILERS!!! (@fagsagainstgod) reported

@virginmedia I think it’s fair to say the link isn’t reliable bc when my wifi went down, over an hour and a half ago, it said the area was perfectly fine. So I suppose something is wrong, isn’t it? Regardless, it’s finally working now… one hour and a half later.

  • graemer41 graeme mccausland (@graemer41) reported

@virginmedia Trying for 19 days now to get Netflix activated as it is part of my bundle, but apparently there is a technical problem with your app which means I cannot see the activate button. 5 times it has been sent to technical support to be resolved as customer service cannot !!

  • CEdvardz The Edvardz (@CEdvardz) reported

@virginmedia I no longer care if you disconnect my services. I’ve been contacted by three other customers asking advice. Sadly I cannot help. Despite 25+ years in CX this is beyond me.
