Been holding important meetings from home using Virgin as my provider. I did 5 last week, one each day lasting all day. Each day the internet went down for a variety of times. I can’t get in touch with Virgin - I waited 50 minutes on the phone to have my call dropped @virginmedia

@uc_stan @virginmedia Can’t get a hold of them to cancel the fee tho they said it’s a non virgin area but they have it at every house on the street then it just ends at our apartments and starts again next house up like they went around the apartments purposely so it’s in the t&cs that’s their fault

  • itconor itconor (@itconor) reported from Comber, Northern Ireland

@seatzie @internetsense @virginmedia Even still the Max power is determined by Radited power from the antenna. But yes antenna position and placement will help . Putting a small one inside the box isn’t great, To be fair their routers are pants. They can’t even handle the throughput of 350meg in router mode

  • GeorgeCowan Britishgamerni 🇬🇧🏳️‍🌈 (@GeorgeCowan) reported from Newtownards, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia Yes it just wasn’t laid in front of our apartments they went around instead so they can’t be connected to the virgin line and they want me to pay for moving to a non virgin area when it clearly is if the entire street has the line down bar this small section

  • shannonruddock_ shannon (@shannonruddock_) reported from Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland

Ben tried contacting @virginmedia because someone has ****** up our account during our house move. He was ignored and could hear the girl typing in the background. He tried saying hello repetitively but no one responded. Not acceptable to treat your customers this way!!!!

@virginmedia This show is temporarily unavailable We are sorry you can't watch this show right now, please try again later....etc. Error code 602. Some apps, inc. Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer work ok, so it's not the internet. Other apps, along with the on demand service, don't work.

  • fatim4ax Fatima A. (@fatim4ax) reported

@virginmedia I think a phone call rather than a webchat is better. I have no Wi-Fi at the moment and have work at 9 am. This is causing a lot of issues for myself and my family.

@virginmedia I know your contact methods, the issue is they don’t work.

I'm new to subscription tech. Hell, I only bought my 1st ever TV last year (Im 47) @virginmedia cut me off after non payment of £98 for exactly the same service as the £43 I was paying by DD. The £98 bounced. Then they cut me off. Now I've debt collectors. Why did I bother????

  • DanWritehead Dan Whitehead (@DanWritehead) reported

@stepickford @virginmedia Yeah, but @virginmedia are saying no such problems so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@DanWritehead @virginmedia Don't know about your ISP but Patreon was down for me for a while today, and people said there were a lot of problems with AWS and Cloudflare, so a lot of sites / services down intermittently.
