@virginmedia There isn't anything that could help with the problem because I don't fully understand what everything is or means etc It could do with a technician to have a look, something similar as happened before and you sent a technician out

  • dejkirkby
'Motivated And Confident' Mags (@dejkirkby) reported from Burnley, England

@WilfSauce @WrestlingJebus @Archiebald_C I have Virgin Media, so haven't had to use TVPlayer personally, but I know of people who have and it's worked perfectly fine. I believe there is a rolling contract for the service of £6.99 after the event so make sure you cancel afterwards.

  • FloButcher84
strange little Flo (@FloButcher84) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia Yeah I've seen that already thanks, but it's not going to help the kids with accessing homework online. no I am not on a B account as of yet as I have only just started out in the last week 😑 but even if I was on a B account it would still be off so doesn't make any difference

@virginmedia So why then a) does it specify postal and b) not provide a field for mobile number. At best it’s misleading and at worst incompetent

  • EmilyMc767
Emily (@EmilyMc767) reported from Blackburn, England

@virginmedia It’s a media account, but it was more about the quality of the call. It’s not the way to treat a customer. Thanks

@virginmedia Yes it works on my phone browser, but not on laptop, so I'll just continue using that method, thanks. One more question; Why do your customer support agents ask for a security password that I use when speaking to an agent, despite being a new customer and haven't set this up yet

@JimMooreJourno CEO is too busy counting his £1 mil package to give a ****, and Burnham shows no interest in dealing with it. Amazing that it's a merry-go-round of useless bastards buggering up companies; he used to be at British Gas, equal only to Virgin Media for dissatisfied customers.

THREAD 8 — THE DEVICES Connectivity is only useful if people have something to connect. This takes us to Solidaritech in Bradford. The organisation was established in 2017 to refurbish unwanted technology and provide it to refugees and asylum seekers. It works with laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. The cumulative figure is now more than 5,000 devices since 2017. But that isn’t simply historical. Solidaritech is still operating. In 2025, Bechtle partnered with Solidaritech to repurpose 857 devices, including phones, laptops, PCs and tablets, which were donated to asylum seekers and refugees. Then there is Migrant Help. Through Community Calling, smartphones and free data have been provided specifically for asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking and modern slavery. Virgin Media O2 reported that Migrant Help had received 1,250 devices and free data, with a further 5,000 devices planned. Screen Share UK also received funding to provide devices, connectivity and repair training to refugees and asylum seekers. Its trainees then repaired and redistributed devices to other refugees. The device itself has therefore become part of an ongoing system. Technology is collected. It is refurbished. It is connected. It is distributed. And sometimes the recipient is taught how to repair the next device.

@virginmedia when I contacted u earlier in the year I was told the upgrade to the 360 box doesn't mean a new contract, but yet after months of you harassing me I've upgraded box and low and behold you've sent me a new contract until 2028 , not happy how do I cancel???
